World Pizza Day + Día Mundial de la Pizza [Eng+Spa]
This day, Friday, February 9, passed without complications. It is, again, a quiet day in my #life. I have attended to some work from the computer, I have yet to contact some old acquaintances to see how they are doing, and how work issues are. But generally, there is nothing important to report in the daily log.
That leads me to have a record that is going to be brief. Let's then comment on the anniversary of #History that I chose to share in this post. Already, from the title of the post, you will have noticed that it is a celebration for a #food theme, more specifically, it is one of the emblematic dishes of Italian #cuisine since the 19th century. Today is 'World Pizza Day'.

Pizza is a dish that identifies Italian #gastronomy, in addition to showing the creativity of a good chef. From a flat risen dough, a layer of sauce and various overlapping ingredients, an incredible number of variations are generated. Even some variations that have turned out to be quite controversial, such as the Hawaiian Pizza, the Pizza with a thick edge filled with cheese, or the Chocolate Pizza.

I have read that there are other older dishes that can be considered the ancestors of pizza, and these dishes date back to ancient Rome or Persia, but I am not entirely sure. Well, let's continue with the story, legend or not. It is said that Espósito received a request from the Royal Palace of Capodimonte to entertain Queen Margherita of Italy. This chef made several dishes, and among them he used a dough base, covered with sauce and cheese, which he then baked with additional ingredients. Personally, I like pizza, I don't eat it a lot, but I like it. A long time ago, I cooked pizza for the family at home, more recently I don't have an oven to make it, so the most recent pizza we ate at home, I tried to make in the microwave… And I have to admit that the result It wasn't the best. En lo personal, me gusta la pizza, no la como mucho, pero me agrada. Hace tiempo, yo cocinaba pizza para la familia en casa, en tiempos más recientes no dispongo de un horno para hacerla, así que la pizza más reciente que comimos en casa, la traté de hacer en el microondas… y he de admitir que mi resultado no fue el mejor. Me falta practicar mejor. En fin, que me dan ahora ganas de probar si puedo hacer una este fin de semana.

When I lived in the city, there was the option in pizzerias to order pizza, in a small, medium or large size, so if I was alone I would order a small one, if I was very hungry or had company, we would order a large size.
It's kind of sweet that some foods make us nostalgic for family :)
By the way, I didn't make the pizza, but I still want to eat one, I'll try to solve that these days.
