It's a quiet Saturday at home. We've had some annoying details during the day due to a power outage, but it's not something out of the ordinary, so we get used to it.

Now that we have electricity, we're getting some work done. In my case, I checked my email to see if I had any pending work, but I don't have anything new, so I checked out some sites some friends had told me about. Among them was one that generates (using AI) comics of various styles. I decided to test it out and gave it a joke story to see what it could generate. The site was https://perchance.org/ai-comic-generator, and the text of the joke I gave it was:

A boy is about to get into the shower to bathe, he stops when he looks at the shampoo bottle. The boy turns around and shouts, “Dad, please get me another shampoo.” From offscreen, the father asks, “What's wrong with that shampoo you have?” The boy replies, “It says it's for 'Dry Hair,' and when I get in the shower, I'm going to get my hair wet.”

The result I got was, to say the least, unsatisfactory. After trying various configurations for the output to be generated, the platform left me with the feeling that either I still had a long way to go in learning how to use this, or maybe the free part of the platform was configured with an intentional deficiency.

That wouldn't be bad; after all, the company also has to pay its workers and generate revenue.

In the end, I took a screenshot of the images the AI ​​agent generated for me in a manga style, because it was actually one of the most accurate images to the joke. Although floating speech bubbles were included in other comic styles, I must say I didn't really like the images generated in those cases.

Okay, let's leave the day's log at this point. I have to check for another possible work package, and dinnertime is also approaching.

Es un sábado tranquilo en casa. Hemos tenido algunos detalles molestos durante el día por una falla de servicios, pero no es algo que esté fuera de lo cotidiano, así que uno se acostumbra a esto.

Ahora que tenemos electricidad estamos trabajando un poco. En mi caso, revisé si tenía algún trabajo pendiente en mi correo, pero no tengo nada nuevo, así que revisé algunos sitios de los que me habían hablado unos amigos. Entre estos sitios estaba uno que es para generar (con el uso de IA) comics de diversos estilos. Se me ocurrió ponerlo a prueba y le di una historia de un chiste para ver que podía generar. El sitio fue https://perchance.org/ai-comic-generator, y el texto del chiste que le di fue:

Un niño está por entrar a la ducha para bañarse, se detiene al mirar el envase de champú. El niño se voltea y grita “Papá, tráeme otro champú, por favor”, desde fuera de escena el padre le pregunta “¿Qué tiene de malo el champú que tienes?”. El niño responde “Es que dice que es para ‘Cabello seco’, y cuando me meta en la regadera de agua me voy a mojar el cabello”.

El resultado que obtuve fue, cuando menos, poco satisfactorio. Luego de probar varias configuraciones para la salida a generar, la plataforma me dejó la sensación de qué o a mí me faltaba mucho para aprender a usar esto, o puede que la parte gratuita de la plataforma esté configurada con una deficiencia intencional.

Eso no estaría mal, después de todo la empresa también tiene que pagar a sus trabajadores y hay que generar ingresos.

Al final capturé la pantalla de las imágenes que me generó el agente de AI con estilo de manga, porque en realidad fue entre las imágenes más precisas con respecto al chiste. Aunque en otros estilos de comics sí se incluyeron los bocadillos flotantes de texto, debo decir que las imágenes generadas en esos casos no terminaron de gustarme.
