Micropost: Monday + Lunes [Eng+Spa] 2025-02-24
It's Monday, and it's a day that I traditionally disliked, due to the residual effects of when I studied or worked from Monday to Friday. But I'm currently working from home, so a part of me feels that this aversion is a feeling that no longer makes much sense. I guess some things that are established in the mind are a little reluctant to be changed.
I'm not going to say much. The day was about shopping (for pet food); trying to understand what the water company crew is doing with the pipes on the street where we live (we're worried that they'll do the crazy thing of repairing the main pipe on the road leaving the pipe on our street disconnected); and my head trying to understand a friend's request by mail (which I didn't manage to do, and it left me with a headache).
From all this, I came up with the idea of generating the image for this post on the AI image platform idogram. It's a site that has a great facility for generating highly realistic images, with text on the images. I gave it a fairly detailed prompt, and used the free credits provided by the platform. The result was varied, but among the images generated, I found one that I liked enough.
So putting the phrase: “We've seen better days” seemed quite reasonable to me. It is not simply complaining about the day, but also about trying to remember that not every day has to be so complicated or failed.
So, despite the chaos and despair of the image, I wanted to leave a gram of hope (with a touch of acid humor) with that text in the image.

Es lunes, y es un día que tradicionalmente no me agradaba, por efecto residual de cuando estudiaba o trabajaba de lunes a viernes. Pero en la actualidad trabajo desde casa, por lo que una parte de mí siente que esta adversión es una sensación que ya no tiene mucho sentido. El día fue de compras (de comida de las mascotas); de intentar entender lo que está haciendo la cuadrilla de la empresa de agua con las tuberías de la calle donde vivimos (que nos preocupa que hagan la locura de reparar la tubería matriz de la carretera dejando desconectada la tubería de nuestra calle); y de que mi cabeza estuviera tratando de entender el requerimiento de un amigo por correo (cosa que no logré y me dejó dolor de cabeza).
De todo esto, se me ocurrió generar la imagen de este post en la plataforma de imágenes por IA de idogram. Es un sitio que tiene gran facilidad para generar imágenes de gran realismo, con texto en las imágenes. Le di un prompt bastante detallado, y usé los créditos gratuitos que me proporciona la plataforma. El resultado fue variado, pero entre las imágenes generadas, encontré una que me gustó lo suficiente.
Así que colocar la frase: “Hemos tenido días mejores”, me resultó bastante razonable. No se trata simplemente de quejarse del día, sino también de tratar de recordar que no todos los días han de resultar tan complicados o fallidos.
Así que, a pesar del caos y desesperación de la imagen, yo quería dejar un gramo de esperanza (con un toque de humor ácido) con ese texto en la imagen.
Ya mejor me despido, para no correr el riesgo de que me extienda y ya no sea un micropost. Te deseo que tú estés bien y que nos podamos leer de nuevo muy pronto.
