Cider Day + Día de la Sidra [Eng+Spa]
I'm having a particularly slow day, largely because my head is not in order, I stayed up all night and slept a little during the day, but sleeping only approximately 5 hours a day is not healthy for me #life. Anyway, I know I shouldn't do that frequently, but it happened, and now it's my turn to try to make up for that loss on the weekend, if the situation allows me to sleep peacefully for additional hours.
There is not much to tell about my personal affairs, other than what I have already said. Although I do think I should let my friends who usually read me know that I am thinking about completing the Spanish translation of the fantasy novel that I have been translating for some time now, so my publications may increase a little, but in #Spanish, and within the #WebNovel community. But even so, I will try to continue recording on a day-to-day basis post.

Estoy teniendo un día particularmente lento, en buena parte porque mi cabeza no está en orden, pasé la noche despierto y he dormido un poco durante el día, pero esto de dormir solamente 5 horas, aproximadamente, al día no es algo saludable para mi #vida. En fin, que sé que no debería hacer eso con frecuencia, pero sucedió y me toca ahora tratar de compensar esa perdida en el fin de semana, si es que la situación me deja dormir plácidamente por horas adicionales.
No hay mucho que contar de mis asuntos personales, fuera de lo que ya he dicho. Aunque sí creo que debería avisar a los amigos que me suelen leer que estoy pensando ponerme a completar la traducción al español de la novela de fantasía que tengo ya un tiempo traduciendo, así que puede que mis publicaciones se incrementen un poco, pero en idioma español y dentro de la comunidad de #NovelaWeb. Pero aun así trataré de seguir realizando en registro del día a día.

Por cierto, ya pasando a compartir sobre la efeméride del día, según la #Historia para hoy, sábado 18 de noviembre, tengo que en la lista de celebraciones hay una que está dedicada a una #bebida, que se hace con una #fruta que se cosecha en esta temporada y que tiene una historia increíblemente larga. Hoy es ‘Día de la Sidra’, que por cierto es una bebida que tiene diferentes fechas de celebraciones en el calendario, pues hay propuestas divergentes de fechas ‘Internacionales’, ‘Mundiales’ y las distintas fechas de celebraciones ‘Nacionales’.
La sidra es una bebida creada a partir de #manzanas, que se pierde en los inicios de la historia y me resulta muy difícil averiguar en qué momento las civilizaciones comenzaron a producirla. Hay registros de que los pueblos prehistóricos parecen haber preparado una bebida que sería como la raíz ancestral de la sidra. Bueno, se preparaba también bebidas de otras frutas, como las peras, pero por alguna razón la bebida de manzana se volvió más popular. En realidad, la variante sin alcohol es el zumo de la manzana antes de agregarle la levadura que le produciría el proceso de fermentación, con lo que se volvería este zumo de la pulpa de las manzanas en un licor. Me dio curiosidad si se seguía llamando ‘sidra’ a ambas versiones, pero parece que sí es así. Por cierto, la elección de esta fecha es por la temporada de otoño en el hemisferio norte, además de que se relaciona con el Día de Acción de Gracias de algunas naciones en América, de hecho, la sidra es una bebida muy típica de esta celebración en Estados Unidos, y estamos a poco más de una semana de esta festividad. Hello! I come from an area that always has apple cider in the fall. I have had "hard cider" too, but I prefer just fresh cider. We used to have apple trees that we would take the apples to get pressed. They are delicious!

I live in a part where there are no apple trees, in my country it is an exotic fruit :) It is grown in several places, but it is not a traditional crop.
