7 Years in Blockchain: A Look from the Present.

Just yesterday I received the notification: my seventh blog anniversary! Yes, seven years since January 2019, when I decided to dive in—with curiosity and a bit of uncertainty—to a #blog built on blockchain. And yes, time flies. But not in an abstract way: it flies with stories, with setbacks, with surprises, with lessons learned that can't be contained in a single post.

What I've Seen (and Experienced):
Like that classic character from the old movie Blade Runner, I could say: “I've seen things you can't imagine”. In my case, we're not talking about “ships on fire beyond the satellites”, but rather blockchains that were born with a bang and disappeared silently; communities that rose from nothing and became benchmarks; projects that promised to change everything and ended up being living lessons in governance and sustainability, as #Hive. I've also seen how artificial intelligence went from being a laboratory subject to becoming a force that reshapes how we create, share, and understand information.
And yes, memecoins too: those ephemeral flashes that, however brief, left their mark… and not just on wallets, but on digital culture.
More than rewards, connections
The most valuable thing about these seven years hasn't just been what I published, but what I shared: debates in the comments, careful curation of other people's ideas, conversations that started with a tweet and ended in a long article. #Blockchain gave me a platform, but people gave it meaning. The financial rewards were attractive, but the human rewards—the exchange, the technical empathy, the trust built step by step—were a true driving force.
And what's next?
With this anniversary, I'm not just celebrating the past, but a promise to the future. I want to keep writing, keep asking questions, keep sharing what I learn, and also what I don't yet understand. Because the path remains open: new technologies emerge, old ideas are reinvented, and the desire to understand together has not faded.
I firmly believe that the years ahead are more numerous than those I have already lived. And that's not blind optimism: it's the confidence that comes from having been here, observing, participating, making mistakes, and trying again.
Thank you for reading, for commenting, for following. This blog, which is celebrating its 7th anniversary, is not only mine: it also belongs to those who inhabit it with their ideas, their questions, and their time. Let's continue building—little by little, carefully, and enthusiastically—what's to come.

English version above

STOPDo you think that Hive is growing or declining?! What's your opinion?? !wine !PIZZA :)
Well, I'm going to start with an apology for the length of the comment. I am not an expert on crypto markets or economics in general, but I can give a personal opinion and a little context. Let's start with the image that was captured from the Coingecko site.
In the last year, the drop in value of the Hive token has been marked and quite constant, although this is also observed in other cryptocurrencies and various tokens, so by itself it is not such a bad fact in isolation. However, I thought back, and I seem to remember that a few years ago Hive was ranked around 300 by market capitalization, but today it is closer to 640.
By combining the data you can get an idea that, at least in terms of market exchange value, things are not good for the current Hive. I read that there were attempts to develop artificial intelligence computing center infrastructure and use blockchains like Hive for auditing and control. I lack more reliable information, but if true, that would be great news and could benefit Hive.
Changing the focus from the market and capitalization, in the aspect of social interaction, I think Hive still has a long way to go. I feel that it has potential and that it allows us to have a site to share content that is quite resistant. You see, I was attracted from the beginning by the idea that since a blog was running on a blockchain, there was greater resistance to censorship by external media, and that in cases where there was any modification to the publications or comments, a “digital archeology” could be made of all the changes, their dates, and everything related to that particular content.
In that sense of usefulness, of a memory archive, of a very traceable log, it seems to me that Hive has gone well and has kept its initial proposal intact, in addition to the decentralization and ownership of the keys for each user is something that I quite like.
Anyway, I think that Hive has been declining as a token, that it has a lot of work to do as a social network, but that its value as an archive for auditable content and free registration is something that can still be positively appreciated.
