The potter and the clay

Happy Tuesday, from this pretty lady.

Yesterday, my day was occupied from morning camp service to the family house, and then, preparing for the evening service, and I thank God for the Grace to be in the office of Assistant General Secretary in NCCF Kaduna State Chapter. I will soon hand over to the transitional Assistant Secretary, calling it TRANSCO.

It was a phase for me, and it was God preparing me, and He is still preparing me for the next level of my life. I don't take every opportunity for granted; I grabbed it, and I make sure I do my best.

However, serving in the administrative arm of NCCF and at my PPA gave me a lot of thought, and I was asking God, Why am I serving in the administrative office? What's that thing that you want to do in my life that I'm not aware of?. There was no response, which I believe he is taking me somewhere I need to display the administrative part in a firm or an organization either in a ministry or anywhere. Great things are coming that I will venture into.

Nevertheless, as I was searching the scriptures I saw these different verses about the potter and the clay. And I'm made to understand that, God is our Potter and we are the clay. Just like Isaiah 64:8 says, we are the clay, and you are our Potter. Meaning that, He has the power to shape and mold our lives the way he wants to see us. He breaks and molds us from bad to good.

Isaiah 64:8 — “We are the clay, and You are our potter; we are all the work of Your hand.” Jeremiah 18:1–6 — God uses the potter and clay to show His authority to shape nations and lives. Romans 9:20–21 — God has power over the clay to make different vessels.

For instance, God is using the potter and the clay, to set an example for clarity. You would see a potter molding the clay with different materials so that the outcome of it would be beautiful for attraction. There are times when there would be a mistake, he would go back to the scratch and start all over. The same goes for our relationship with God. When we allow Him to take charge of our lives, he will work out many things and show us that we are valued in His hands to represent. He is not just making us for making sake, but for a purpose to be established on earth. For a clay to be a clay, there must be a potter; without a potter, we would not have a clay to hold on to.

I shared this with my teenagers, that God is the potter of our lives. Let Him do His work and will in our lives so that the Father in heaven will be glorified.

Thank you for reading through. God bless you, so richly.

I remain @peckypeace
