The heart of God vs the heart of men

Hello, everyone!

This morning, I woke up very tired and wanted to keep hugging my bed with some sweet sleep but I couldn't continue because I needed to be in the office very early to do some administrative work, which was very important. I had to leave my bed, rush to the bathroom, do the needful, and dress to work.

I didn't have time to have my devotion or study my Bible. I had it in mind when I reached the office that I would do it, which I did.

However, I opened my devotional, and the scripture I saw was so profound and inspiring to read, I opened the full chapter of the scripture and read it with different versions.

Psalms 37:4 ERV [4] Enjoy serving the Lord, and he will give you whatever you ask for.

I started from verse 1 to the end. And I realized that this verse centers on the heart of a man who truly seeks Him. A man who doesn't love God will not have the heart to seek or serve Him to some extent. It takes the heart, and it's the center of everything.

When you harbor evil in your heart, you will produce evil. The heart of a man is desperately wicked. That's why you need to gradually or constantly deepen your relationship with God through the study of God's word and prayer. When you do this every day, your heart will be pure, holy, honest, true, and your heart will be full of good report, or flow out of wisdom and Glory.

When our heart carries these virtues, then we will produce fruit or reflect who God is in our lives and the world will see.

Psalms 37:27 TPT [27] If you truly want to dwell forever in God’s presence, forsake evil and do what is right in his eyes.

Here, the Bible says, if we want to be a carrier of God's presence, we should forsake evil in our hearts and pursue what the Holy One Who is God is. What we have received, heard, learned, and seen him do, we should do the same, and He will send His peace and blessings upon us. This will be done when our hearts are genuine.

Therefore, reading the word of God, reshapes our hearts and renews them every day for better representation.
