Go Forward
Greetings, everyone!
There is a routine that takes place in the NCCF family house, especially among all batches towards the end of their service year. This service is called the Jehoshaphat Thanksgiving Service, and it is scheduled for different batches to dedicate specific days to thanking God for bringing them this far.
We chose this week, from Wednesday to Sunday, to thank God.

However, we began the program on Thursday with a movie night, which included popcorn and soft drinks. We didn’t just watch the movie; we also learned lessons from it and shared what we learned publicly.
On Friday evening, we had a guest minister who came to speak to us, giving a theme exposition on how we can move forward in life as young people.
Our text was taken from the book of Exodus 14:15:
“And the LORD said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward.” (KJV)
This verse is where we derived our theme.
From what I learned from the preacher, he said that progress is not without challenges and obstacles. Every challenge is an opportunity for growth. No matter the situation, there is always a way out.
He gave us keys to advancing in life as we pass out of the NYSC:
Divine Instructions
Hearing God’s voice is a gift, and it is one of the things every believer should cultivate to advance in life.
We see a Bible character who received divine instructions from God and followed them faithfully, and he was blessed. Though his path was not easy, as it was filled with challenges and trials, he overcame through God’s presence. He abided in God’s presence, and God’s presence remained with him, which made him successful.
Prompt Obedience
When we receive instructions, we must adhere to them by taking action. Abraham obeyed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness. God made him the father of many nations, and he advanced.
The Power of Vision
Having a clear picture of your future is very important. It helps you navigate the necessary steps. Also, practicing the presence of God at all times is essential because He is our rear guard. God’s presence enables success, just as it did for Joseph and David.
The Power of Your Confession
Confessing the Word of God is very important because it produces power and authority. The Bible says that God’s Word is living, powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword. As we continually speak God’s Word, it works and paves the way for advancement.
I pray for all the Batch A1 corps members passing out, that they go forward from Glory to Glory.
Jesus Christ is the goal.
