Boldness from the Cave of Adullam
Greetings, everyone!
I'm so happy this evening to share what I learned from today's evening devotion we had a few minutes ago. It was a wonderful time in the presence of the Lord. And I want to share with you so you can be a blessing too.

This evening our preacher took us to the Book of Acts 4:13
Acts 4:13 When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished, and they took note that these men had been with Jesus.
Peter and John didn't have the boldness to proclaim the gospel of Christ in the first place. They were still learning from Jesus and at the appointed time, they went into the city to preach the gospel. The religious leaders were astonished as they saw Peter and John preaching the gospel with boldness and power. Even though they didn't obtain the formal education as others did, they were equipped and empowered by the teachings of Jesus Christ, and through the teachings, the Holy Spirit deposited boldness into them and they moved with power.
The Bible also recorded the case of Peter, who denied Jesus three times. He did this out of fear, and there wasn't boldness to share the gospel; after that incident, Peter became powerful and fearless in confronting authorities. The Bible says, in 2 Peter 1:7
2 Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and love, and a sound mind.

Yes, God didn't come to give us the spirit of fear, He came with power to give us power, love, and of a sound mind, so we can enter into our purpose with clarity and confidence.
However, the character is one of the things, that emerged with the boldness to sustain a man's calling. Character is a foundation that sustains a man's ministry. Even in marriage, character sustains a wife and husband. Binds them together in love.
Overall, we need God in our lives. We need to dwell in that secret place called the Cave of Adullam, it's a place to be equipped, transformed, and made bold for the purpose. Let's make an effort, we are passionate, eager, hungry, and desperate to be there. God is with us and he wants us to establish that relationship with Him. He wants us to keep in touch with Him all the time.
Thank you for reading through. God bless and continue to lift your head above.

Nice on the cave of Abdullam, it's where boyz become men. It's a place of the exchange of our humanity for spirituality, it's a place where Jacob must give birth to Israel.
Yeap the disciples were learning from Jesus, but their learning apparatus was limp, they were learning by physical might, so they couldn't represent Jesus accurately when Jesus was leaving.
Jesus knew this and thus instructed them not to hurry into ministry, but to gather somewhere till a gift from the Father visits them.
That gift finally came,as they studied and prayed, His name is the Holy Spirit. He baptized them with audacity they didn't have before. It was an exchange or humanity for spirituality.
The Holy Spirit also quickened them into pure love(otherwise known as character).
So again the precious Acts 4:13 you started with. How I wish they knew that what came on the disciples ain't just because the disciples were moving around with Jesus, but because they received the power at work in Jesus by that impartation in the upper room.
By the way, they kept renewing their subscription – I mean they intentionally had repeated upper room experiences to keep them fresh and focused. Prayer and the Word is key for this
Best regards sis.
Thanks for sharing.
