News and tragedy! I guess, these two words share a lot in common, I mean there's no news nowadays without a touch of tragedy and a trail of sadness. It's either explosions, hates, injustices, treasons, brutal killings and the list continues.
Like I'm I the only one noticing that there's nothing joyful and exciting on news these days. Going through the info hubs, surfing the net, reading the papers on a daily, nothing different yunno. All share similar deadly features. Honestly, I've lost interest in the local news, but then I wanna stay updated of thre ills in the society, going emotional wherever and whenever I deem fit.
Just this morning, I decided to go check out stuffs for myself on my Phoenix browser app where my news hub is located, 3 headlines caught my interest, of course they aren't goodnews but I care to share, would seek your opinions afterwards.
Imo hotel owner and a military personnel torture staff to death over missing phone

It is said that a hotel owner and a military personnel tortured Ebuka Nwaneri, a staff in the hotel to death over missing phone in Umulogho community in Obowo LGA, Imo state.
The victim, was accused of stealing the phone of the military personnel who was only a guest in the facility.
It is said that Nwaneri was confined to the hotel powerhouse and tortured until he breath his last. This awful incident sparked chaos and rants as the youths and teenagers raged angrily to the scene in protest demanding for justice.
These youths, angry and pained with such death threatened to demolish the hotel if the brains behind Nwaneri's death were not apprehended.
As a result of this, the police spokesperson in Imo, Henry Okoye confirmed that the matter is under diligent investigation, meanwhile some youths were arrested during the protest. Imagine!
In a statement, Chinagorom Cyriacus who's the president of the Umulogho youth assembly called for peace while assuring that the arrested youths would soon be released and freed.
Bobrisky unmasked! Crossdresser to be arraigned on Friday
A popular crossdresser and social media influencer Idris Olanrewaju Okuneye widely known as Bobrisky will be dragged to court on Friday over allegations involving the abuse of the Nigerian currency, the Naira.
According to the report by NPO, Bobrisky was arrested on Wednesday and was undergoing interrogations at the facility of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission in Lagos over Naira abuse.
According to section 21 of the CBN Act, it is a crime to tamper with or deface the Nigerian currency, thus defaulters must be dealt with. Bobrisky was found in videos spraying Naira at a movie premier in Lagos
EFCC officials picked up the violater at pinnock estate, while the first four counts of the charge centers on abuse of Naira, the last two counts border on alleged money laundering.
According to the count sheet filed by the EFCC prosecutor, Rotimi Oyodepo with seven other lawyers, Bobrisky in the first count is alleged to have deliberately tampered with a total sum of 400,000 Naira while dancing at a social event at lekki, Lagos. An offense committed on march 24, 2024.
In count two, a time range between July and August 2023 at Aja junction Ikorodu so tampered with another whooping sum of 50,000 by spraying that amount at a social gathering while dancing as well.
Count three narrates of how 20,000 was sprayed at White Steve Event Hall while dancing.
Count four accuses Bobrisky of tampering and spraying a figure of 20,000 while dancing at a social function in Oniru, Victoria Island, Lagos.
In count five, while moving under the cover, name and style of Bob express between Sept 2021 and April 2024 in Lagos, failed to submit to the Special Control Unit Against Money Laundering. A close look at the Bob express company account activities reveals that a total of 127.7m was paid into the company's account domiciled to Ecobank
In count six, Bobrisky is said to have refused to have submitted a declaration of activities of the company with the same time range when another sum of 53m was paid into the company's account.
Tragedy: Three ABSU Medical Students Die in Auto Crash
Three Abia State University Uturu Medicine and Surgery students have reportedly died in an auto crash at the Okigwe axis of Enugu-Umuahia Expressway.
Report says that the victims were returning to Aba from school's induction of medical students on Thursday, March 21, 2024 when the awful incident happened.
Quote from a source said "Three students have been confirmed death, while two others are injured and struggling to survive in the hospital".**
According to another source, the accident was said to happen when the driver of the vehicle and the students were traveling, lost control and somersaulted.
The Corps Commander of the FRSC, Abia state, Frederick Ogiden who confirmed the incident said his men went there shortly after the incident, stating that the vehicle was ash-colored private Toyota Camry. He went on to confirm that the incident happened at the Okigwe axis of the Enugu-Umuahia expressway
One of the students being identified as Favour Okpanku , a 500 level medical student with his male/female colleagues making it a trio loss creates vacuum in heart of students, lecturers, loved ones and onlookers.
