A ride to remember. - Digi-Prompts 031.

I usually take public buses or other local transportation services, but sometimes I have to book an online ride when it's long distance, at night, and when I need a safer ride.

Uber is very popular with some other local apps. When I need to book my ride, I initially use Uber because of the guarantee in safety. And never faced any issue, but only once.

I remember, last year when I booked a car ride to reach to the train station at the night, I faced a weird issue. It was around 11 pm and there were not many rides available.

Choosing a ride with a good rating, more than 4.5, is what I follow. Also, I book an elderly person as the driver if possible and avoid the younger one. If you know, you know the reason.

That day, the driver called me and he met my criteria and I accepted the ride. A few minutes of wait, but he did not arrive. So I called back. He didn't pick. There was no cancellation message on my phone so I waited a few more minutes.

I didn't look around for another driver on the app, but another one called me. I was already getting late so booked him. When he arrived, his car number didn't match with what I was seeing on the app, but his photo and phone number matched.

I was scared but he said, it happens. He uses two vehicles for Uber and it's normal. I never heard of this and I am more confused and fearful. I called Uber customer care, but it was taking a long time to get to an operator.

The driver seemed genuine and I got a good vibe so I agreed to be on the ride. He took me to my destination safely.

Till this day I'm not sure if this incident is normal or not. I didn't report him and I'm not sure if I should either.

I know, this story is not extraordinary. There was suspense and I'm blessed that it didn't turn in any other direction. It's better to have a safe ride than having a bad story to tell.

My online ride experience is mostly good as I was saying. It's safer than local transport. Although it costs more, but if you are looking for safety, you should go for using a reputed app service.

Whereas my online courier service experience is not good. I have been scammed a few times, didn't receive the same products, got low quality products and couldn't return and didn't get return. I will share the story in detail another day.
