Wisdom and patience in the same sentence seems to make a lot of sense actually. I must admit @bleujay I had not considered this before but yes if you can demonstrate the quality of patience, which we're told is a virtue, then a calmer mind prevails I would imagine. And in that calmer mental state we allow ourselves more time to think, ponder and muse.

This principle that you have brought to us in this post makes perfect sense, what a great angle on these two words.

Lovely to be reminded of the beach with your photos @bleujay, they're fantastic shots. The picture of your starfish is wonderful, a very vibrant photo.

Greetings @peaceandmoney ,

You are too kind....What a lovely thought-full comment.

Appreciate hearing from you and your kind words regarding the photographs.

The photos in colour represent ....synonyms,...The BNWs represent...antonyms...What do you think? ^__^

Kind Regards,

Bleujay

I'm very curious now @bleujay as I had studied the photos, both colour and monochrome ones, but forgive me I am struggling to see this other meaning you have built into them. Would you mind elaborating?

I think it's great to use photographs in this way, to convey more meaning and perhaps a hidden meaning. So I am very curious now.

Greetings @peaceandmoney ,

Delighted to elaborate...and yes...often there is more meaning to Bleujay's photographs but not always. ^__^

For me...the photographs in colour represent synonyms because often when we hear the synonyms of a word...we quite agree...thinking oh yes...that's right....however when it comes to antonyms...we have to give it a think because it gives an entirely different perspective of the word...and we often say...oh, I had not thought of that before.

Here we have a seaside scene in colour...oh yes, we have seen that before...the sand is yellow ochre and the sky cerulean bleu...right? However when we see the seaside view in black and white...we might think..oh I had not noticed the cloud formation or the waves spillover patterns around the rocks...etc.

A very similar process in my mind to our discovery of the meaning of words...the clarification and understanding that comes not only the definition but also with the nuances provided by the synonyms and antonyms.

Hope all this makes sense.

As always enjoy the opportunity to discuss the Principle.

Toodle pip!

Thank you @bleujay for this comprehensive elucidation, I greatly appreciate it. Yes absolutely nuances can be highlighted in all sorts of ways and the distinction between colour and black and white photos is one such vivid method for exploring these nuances.

Your comment provides further food for thought that's for sure.
