The Lost Sheep of Melbourne

A sheep named Toby lived on the edge of Melbourne's busy suburbs. He wasn't just a sheep - he was interested. Others were happy with the grazing in the fields owned by farmer Ellie, but Toby often stared at the fences, wondering what had passed the chewing gum and the winding gravel path. Toby wandered on a warm spring morning, and the gates remained open for delivery.

He drove past the fields, past the rusty mailboxes, and on the streets as he flew around every step. He didn't want to run away. He just wanted to explore. Toby went for hours, followed by the sounds of corners and distant chatter, the scenery vanishing behind him, and the city engulfed him completely. Soon Toby was in the heart of Melbourne, surrounded by streetcars, lights and confused pedestrians.

People stared, showed, and laughed. »Is it a sheep on Swanston Street? Someone grabbed the air. Unimpressed, Toby wandered around the cafe, knocking on a chair and nibbled at a half-appetizing croissant from someone else. Chaos continued. The police were called. News cameras have arrived. There was LoSTHEEP hashtag on social media within an hour. Bauer Ellie was busy on the farm. She watched film material on TV and snapped for the air.

This is my Toby! With the help of Animal Control and a few friendly city visitors, Toby was gently invited to the trailer and headed home until the evening. He was tired and a little dirty, but it remained. From that day on, Toby became a local legend - the sheep visited the city.

The kids visited the farm to meet it. Tourists made selfies. And although Toby is still curious, he seemed happy to stay near the fields. But sometimes he stares down the streets, smiling as if to remember his amazing adventures in Melbourne.
