The family vacation was going smoothly until someone realized they 'd booked the Airbnb for the wrong week.
As we were about to hit the road i brought out my phone to verify the Airbnb details, i became disappointed as i scrolled through the emails,
"Oh no", i mumbled, my voice trembling.

"What is it?" my husband, Joel, asked? noticing the look on my face.

"I think we booked the Airbnb for the wrong week,"
I said my eyes scanning the email again to confirm.

The family's anticipations quickly turned to dismay.
We had been looking forward to this vacation for months, and now it seemed like it might not happen at all.

After a desperate call to the Airbnb host, he managed to find a solution. The host had a last- minute cancellation for the following week, and they offered us a spot on the wait list.

We still went on but spent the first week discovering nearby attractions and enjoying local restaurants while waiting for the Airbnb to become available.

Although the beginning of the vacation was turbulent,we had fun with our time. We giggled, unified and created  memories that would last a lifetime.

When we finally settled into the Airbnb, my kids appreciated it even more, thankful for the unexpected adventure that had made us become inseparable.

The vacation turned out to be more than just a trip.
It was a reminder of the importance of adaptability and making the most of life's surprising surprise.
