Sister from Heaven: (book review)

I came across this book, title "A sister from heaven"
written by lasunkanmi Tela

I found it thoroughly enjoyable to read and d will like to leave my review.

It pays to be faithful and loyal to one's wife or husband. A home that breeds love will produce caring and sympathetic children.
Does not really matter weather the children are of the same mother or not, the understanding and cordiality between children could be mysterious.

Love has no boundary. It is certain that selfish attitude garnished in falsehood could not be hidden for so long because the truth will always prevail at the end.
Work hard , relate in love and harmony with people around you in order to lead a successful life.

The plot

Sister from heaven tells us about a young man named Dejo Tomori, who is admired and respected by all, because he is brilliant and exceptionally humble.
He just finished his Nysc and got a job, that was paying him well, before he met the love of his life Bukki in the course of his duty. One thing led to the other and the got married.

Their union was blessed with a beautiful baby girl called Desola. Desola was also beautiful and kind hearted as her parents, life went on smoothly until Bukki became pregnant again for her second baby and passed on while putting to bed .

It was a tearful parting seeing the joyous family losing a loved one, Dejo Tomori decided not to get married again but to focus on his little princess Desola.
His parents did not buy the idea as they felt that he needs another woman in his life who would take care of him and his daughter.

After much pressure from his parents and daughter, he decided to get married to moji who pretended to love Desola while nursing pains in her heart , because her husband always puts his daughter first in everything he does.

As time went on she gave birth to a baby girl named Banke and all of a sudden she changed. She never wanted the two girls to be together in any way she tried all her possible best for hatred to exist between them, but the more she tried, the stronger Banke got glued to her big sister.

The last attempt that broke the Camel 's back was when she tried poisoning Desola's soup. She mixed it well and kept it in the dinning table but immediately she left, her daughter Banke went to the table looking at the soup she felt it was too small for she and her sister so she exchanged it with her mom 's
Soup.

She did it perfectly and left no room for her mother to suspect, because the plates are all the same.
When they all arrived to eat dinner, Moji was so happy because she thought that there was no mistakes and before morning her plans would have started working.

Everyone retired into their rooms that night. In the morning Moji started complaining about her eyes itching her , she was led to the bathroom to wash it, but still yet it became worse. That was when it dawned on her that her plan had backfired.

Soon, she became blind. The elders said that it is God himself that wades off flies for a cow without tail'

Final Thoughts

A sister from heaven is a story filled with love, care and kindness, all rolled into one, it left me thinking about how deep a sister could love her half sister so deeply that she stood for her in everyway. Not minding all her mother's plans .

I would highly recommend this book to anyone that loves reading , this is definitely a book you will want to read.
