Not everything is bought.
Excellent day to everyone here!
There are many things in life that money cannot buy.
Some of these things we find so rare in our everyday life.
In many cases, people care less about them. It is amazing how devastating it affects many of us when we don't have them.
I learnt these things from a very rich man who didn't have much cash or material possession.
Yet , he had them all. Yes all of the things money can't buy.
This rich man who was also poor by my standard made me understand how it works. He took his time to lecture me on why he was very rich and poor at the same time.
'How is it possible to be rich and poor at the same time, you would like to ask?"
"I will tell you, just the way he told me'.
So many things are not for sale, money can't buy them; they are priceless.
Anybody who has so many of the things money cannot buy lives in affluence no doubt. So how rich are these people that have what money cannot buy and how poor are they with so much of what money could buy?
If i had explained this jigsaw properly, then you would understand where i am driving at.
What am i trying to achieve from all this twist and turns? It is the fact that one of such priceless things is time.
Truly, the time you spend with your children is hundred times better than the money you spend on them because that is what money cannot buy.
Contentment is another priceless thing . It lifts us higher than any elevator could .
I also had the opportunity of knowing the concept called integrity and humility.
They are enviable talents that are tagged,
'NOT FOR SALE '
You know why ? It's because they are priceless.
I have seen people who paid others to make them happy because they don't have happiness. Why should you not have happiness and would have to buy it?
How much worth of happiness can we bid for that will sustain us? For how long would it last?
How many minutes worth of it can money buy?
Can we pay for one-month worth of happiness, one year, how long? This is something so expensive and considered priceless, of course it is.
This is how I have come to understand that a happy heart has freedom from many things.
His blood pressure would be normal because happiness helps the blood to circulate excellently.
A frightened heart can never be happy, an imprisoned heart can seldom find joy and happiness is far from their reach.
Some people have argued that happiness is an attitude of the mind. Is this true?
Freedom is priceless and that makes it a relative concept. Where and how can we acquire these priceless things?
That's the food for thought.
Thank for reading
Images used are mine.
You are right, there are things money cannot buy no matter how wealthy you are. Like you said time spent with loved ones money cannot buy them.
