Common sense is a shared everyday knowledge and judgement that most people possess, which enable them to navigate the world effectively and make reasonable decisions in life.

It is the ability to understandi simple basic concepts in life like using a cup to drink water and not your palms. It is aldo understanding that rain can cause cold. So you need to cover up with a jacket or a cardigan while it itains.

By acknowledging the use of common sense, we can use it as a valuable tools for navigating everyday life while also being open to more learning.

Two years ago, I met with an old friend of mine. She told me what transpired between her and her half sister. She said that her half sister set her up and took her finance away from her because she was jealous of the relationship. Before she knew it her finance came in asking for her sister's hand in marriage, my friend got angry and left the house because her dad approved of the marriage even though the dad knew that they had something together few months ago.

She stayed away from her family for good seven years. On the eight year, her dad invited her to his sixty years birthday party. She attended as expected but she came with her man whim she is engaged to, which shocked everyone in the family because they had thought she was coming alone.

When her half-sister met with the present finance, he explained he knew her some where but could not recall, but he introduced himself to the family as a nobody trying to get a job to earn a living. My friend's step mum and her half sister insulted her that she stooped so low in getting stuck with a poor man.

But as days went by, with the actions of the man, common sense made the step mum to realize that the man was hiding something. When my friend asked him why he was lying to them he said that the less they know about him the less they will want to hurt her.

Her ex boyfriend was working on a contract for over nine months looking for the director of the particular company to sign not knowing that the person to sign that deal was under the same roof with him. Common sense made him to realize that his,ex girlfriend's man holds the keys to his breakthrough and he had to look for a way of being nice by apologizing to his ex and her man so that things can go on well with him. After that, he was able to get that deal signed. But for the half sister to my friend, she was later exposed ,of her evil acts and she lost everything she had ever wanted.

Does everyone have common sense?

I don't believe everyone has or ooerates with common sense. Looking at how the world is going haywire, it shows that many persons lack common sense.

The three things I consider to be common sense is are;

#1. When some gives you something, you say thank you, its gives the person room to do more.

#2. Greeting people especially elderly people when you gome across them.

#3. When doors are beingn open to you to get into the house of a person give yourself a limit. Do not walk past the parlour to the bedroom.

These are some simple scenarios where I onsider common sense at work as they are facts about life we cant run away from.

This is a good writeup. Common sense should tell the half sister to stay away from her sisters man

OMG! That story could make a good soap opera 😱😱 I completely agree with what your friend's fiancé said, there are times when it's better not to tell everything, especially with people like her family who have already hurt her before.
