My first experience in cutting and sewing of a Senator top for my child
Hello Needleworkers
How are you guys doing, hope you you all have a peaceful and bless Easter.
I want to share with you all on my first experience in cutting and sewing of a senator top for my child.
Since i had this experience of cutting when i was in School, i haven't try it before at home, i was only take as a practice since it was in school, we were using a cardboard or brown paper.
I went to visit my school friend so i saw her using a cardboard to cut a senator top, so that really remember me about our school practice and i decided to buy a cardboard too, just to try if i can recall my brain back.
I went to a nearby shop and buy this cardboard and i use the remaining fabric that i got from my friend.
I folded the cardboard into two, i measured out his shoulder, his chest measurements i divided it by four because i folded the cardboard into two which is four, then i measured his body and also devided it by four, after that i measured his full length and the hamhold length then i cut it out.
Here are the pictures in step by step
I didn't consider myself being disappointed, but i bet myself for the first time in trying to make friend with sewing machine, it was a big fights till end.
I even come to realize that cutting is the most biggest and hardly work, but for the results of my work, i have pass through a lot of stress and the biggest tress for me was sewing, although i tried i possible best just to succeed in it.
After cutting, i started by cutting the back band and i used it to turn the neck, then i went to my friends sewing machine and turn it.
After finishing with the back side, i also cut the front band and turn out the front neck line, after that i give out a short slit on the front side just to open the nick so that it will be easy for my child to wear, then i turn out everything and the front flap is outside.
After that i join the body together and cut out the sleeves and join it to the body of the cloth.
