Hello Travelers,

Now let's take the brightly shining sun, which gives us the signal of a beautiful day, and set off on a small journey. Let's chart our course towards the cold waters that give us life, cool us down and broaden our horizons, and the high mountains that beautify its surroundings. We decided to go to Pınargöz, the main source of water, on our trip that we planned days before, when everyone drew different routes and expressed their opinions with my school friends.

Hadi şimdi bize güzel bir günün sinyalini veren ışıl ışıl parlayan güneşi de yanımıza alarak küçük bir yolculuğa çıkalım. Bize hayat veren, serinleten ve ufkumuzu genişleten soğuk sulara ve onun etrafını güzelleştiren yüksek dağlara doğru rotamızı çizelim. Okul arkadaşlarımla herkesin farklı rotalar çizerek fikir beyan ettiği günler öncesinden planladığımız gezimizde suyun ana kaynağı olan Pınargözüne gitmeye karar verdik.

My destination was about an hour and a half away from Antalya city center. I met my school friends at the schoolyard around 08:30. We had prepared what we were going to take with us in advance and put it in our school’s activity hall. We made our preparations and set off around 09:00. Our plan was to have breakfast by the water pools called Yukarı Uçansu Waterfall, the main source on our way. We started our journey from the Antalya-Alanya road route. We continued our journey through the Gebiz neighborhood in the Serik district of Antalya, with the green atmosphere of high mountains and hills. Gebiz was established at the point where the Serik Plain, known as the Teke region of the Mediterranean Region, ends. Under the supervision of different types of trees on the sides of the asphalt roads, we arrived at the place where we would have breakfast with the flow of the cool breeze.

Gideceğim yer, Antalya şehir merkezine yaklaşık bir buçuk saat uzaklıktaydı. Okul arkadaşlarımla saat 08.30 gibi okul bahçesinde buluştuk. Yanımıza alacaklarımızı önceden hazırlayıp, okulumuzun etkinlik salonuna koymuştuk. Hazırlıklarımızı yapıp, saat 09.00 gibi yola çıktık. Planımız arasında yolumuzun üstünde bulunan ana kaynağı Yukarı Uçansu Şelale adını verdikleri su havuzlarının kenarında kahvaltı yapmaktı. Yolumuza Antalya, Alanya yol güzergahından başladık. Antalya'nın Serik ilçesinde yer alan Gebiz mahallesinden geçerek, yüksek dağların ve tepelerin yeşil atmosferiyle yolumuza devam ettik. Gebiz, Akdeniz Bölgesinin Teke yöresi olarak bilinen Serik Ovasının sona erdiği noktada kurulmuştur. Asfalt yollarının kenarındaki birbirinden farklı ağaç türlerinin gözetiminde, serin serin esen rüzgarın akışıyla kahvaltı yapacağımız yere geldik.

The point we arrived at was the edge of the stream bed passing near Has Dümen Village. We had our breakfast by the edge of the icy water coming from high hills among huge rocks. The sun was right above us. The temperature was increasing as the hours passed. It was time to cool our heated bodies. As friends, we opened the season of swimming by entering the cold water of the stream here. We started swimming accompanied by the greenery surrounding the water, the sparkle of the sun and the sounds of birds coming from nowhere. Don’t believe me when I say we are swimming. We are trying to cool down by walking on the stones covered with slippery moss. We are having a hard time walking in the flowing water. The puddles of water waving due to the wind offer us a foamy feast on the stones they hit.

Geldiğimiz nokta, Has Dümen Köyünün yakınlarından geçen dere yatağının kenarıydı. Koca koca kayaların arasından yüksek tepelerden gelen buz gibi suyun kenarında kahvaltımızı yaptık. Güneş tam tepemizdeydi. Saatler ilerledikçe sıcaklık daha da artıyordu. Isınan bedenimizi serinletme zamanı gelmişti. Arkadaşlar olarak suya girme sezon açılışını buradaki derenin soğuk suyuna girerek yaptık. Suyun etrafını çevrelen yeşillik, güneşin pırıltısı ve nerden geldiği belli olmayan kuş sesleri eşliğinde yüzmeye başladık. Yüzüyoruz dediğime bakmayın. Üstünü kaygan yosunlarla kaplayan taşların üstünden yürüyerek serinlemeye çalışıyoruz. Akıntılı suda yürürken zorlanıyoruz. Rüzgarın etkisiyle dalgalanan su birikintileri bizlere çarptıkları taşlarda köpüklü şölen sunuyorlar.

Not many people come to this beauty in the stream bed where we are. Years ago, there was a big flood disaster here. All the single-story wooden houses here were submerged. Many families from here had to move their houses to the district. Even relatives of our friend whose mother and father lived here at the time were injured. After the flood, these places were abandoned and left to their own devices. Nature renewed itself and presented us with a completely different beauty.

Bulunduğumuz dere yatağındaki bu güzelliğe çok fazla gelen olmuyor. Yıllar önce burada büyük bir sel felaketi yaşanmış. Buradaki tek katlı ahşaptan evlerin hepsi su altında kalmış. Buradan birçok aile evlerini ilçeye taşımak zorunda kalmış. Zamanında burada anne ve babası yaşayan arkadaşımızın akrabalarından bile yaralananlar olmuş. Selden sonra buralar terk edilerek kendi haline bırakılmış. Doğa kendisini yenileyerek bambaşka bir güzellik karşımızı çıkarmış.

There are places where you can do nature walks and many routes where you can climb mountains in this region. One of those routes will be the walk you will do to Bozburun Mountain. This region is a valley rising towards the foothills of the famous Taurus Mountains in the north of Antalya. The region within the borders of Serik district is spread over a wide area and summit climbing can be done in the surrounding mountains. When you look carefully at the mountains here, the greenery disappears after a certain point. They open roads here to collect snow from the peaks.

Bu bölgede doğa yürüyüşü yapabileceğiniz yerler ve dağa tırmanabileceğiniz bir çok rota bulunuyor. O rotalardan biri de Bozburun dağına yapacağınız yürüyüş olacaktır. Bu bölge Antalya'nın kuzeyinde, meşhur Toros dağlarının eteklerine doğru yükselen bir vadi konumundadır. Serik ilçesi sınırları içinde yer alan bölge geniş bir alana yayılmış olup, etrafındaki dağlarda zirve tırmanışı yapılabilir. Burada yer alan dağlara dikkatli baktığınızda belirli bir noktadan sonra yeşillik kayboluyor. Tepe noktalarından kar toplamak için buralara yol açıyorlar.

As our school friends, the place we really wanted to go was Pınargözü, where the main water comes out. We wanted to watch the magnificent view of the village from the trout pool in Pınargözü. We set off from where we were. We crossed bridges. At some points where the roads narrowed, we had to continue on stony ground. By the way, one of our friends was born in this region, so he knew the road very well. He gave us information about the points we passed. As we continued on the road, only the chimneys of a few houses were visible on some hills. Even those places had become villages. Here, each house has a garden and a large field. The people are generally engaged in agriculture and animal husbandry.

Bizim okul arkadaşlarımız olarak asıl gitmek istediğimiz yer ana suyun çıktığı yer Pınargözüydü. Pınargözün de yer alan Alabalık havuzundan köyün o muhteşem manzarasını izlemek istiyorduk. Bulunduğumuz yerden, hareket ederek, yola çıktık. Köprüler geçtik. Bazı yolların daraldığı noktalarda artık taşlı topraklarda devam etmek zorunda kaldık. Bu arada arkadaşlarımızdan biri bu bölgede doğduğu için, yolu çok iyi biliyordu. Geçtiğimiz noktalarda bizlere bilgiler verdi. Yolda ilerlerken bazı tepe noktalarda birkaç evin sadece bacaları görünüyordu. Oralar bile köy olmuş. Burada her evin bir bahçesi ve geniş alana yayılan tarlası var. Halk genellikle tarım ve hayvancılıkla uğraşıyor.

There is a business here. The Pınargözü restaurant, where trout are raised and sold to various regions. There is a large tank at the back of the business, which is built on the top of a slight slope and is the source of water. Most of the water of the stream beds we see on the way here comes from here. This water, which is quite cold, is clean and drinkable. The surroundings of the business are full of trout feeding pools and there are quite a few fish. The clarity and cleanliness of the water that feeds the fish are the first striking detail. The beauty of the water pool flowing next to the business is immediately noticeable.

Burada bir işletme var. Alabalıkların yetiştirilip, çeşitli bölgelere satıldığı yer olan Pınargözü restoran. Hafif bir yamacın tepesine kurulan işletmenin arka tarafında suyun kaynağı olan büyük bir depo var. Yolda gelirken gördüğümüz dere yataklarının çoğu suları buradan geliyor. Oldukça soğuk olan bu su temiz ve içilebilir durumdadır. İşletmenin etrafı alabalıkların beslenme havuzlarıyla dolu ve oldukça fazla balık var. Balıkların besleyen suyun berraklığı temizliği ilk göze çarpan detay oluyor. İşletmenin yanından akan su birikintisinin tüm güzelliği hemen fark ediliyor.

Wherever you look, you see a stream of water at a point where greenery and crystal clear waters meet. The surroundings resemble a castle-like greenery created with old stones. When you look from the front of the business, you feel plenty of greenery and plenty of atmosphere together.

They tried to add beauty to some of the poolsides by making small wooden shapes.

The place you see in this picture is the inside of a large tank. The source of the water comes from here. They called it Pınargözü. The water coming out from between the huge rocks is very cold and very clean.

The oleander flowers that are nestled among the greenery around look so beautiful; they resemble a postcard picture. The stones here also look very valuable. I picked up a couple of them. You can use these stones in your garden and on your terraces. I use these stones at the bottom of the pots. In this way, it also protects my flowers from excess water.

Etrafta yeşilliklerin arasında kendine yer eden zakkum çiçekleri o kadar güzel görünüyor ki; bir kartpostal resmini andırıyor. Buralarda yer alan taşlarda çok değerli görünüyor. We spent about two hours in Pınargöz. We all ate trout here together. We walked around. We sipped our tea. We chatted. It was time to go back. We had to get home before it got dark. We were about two hours away from the city center. We packed up and set off. We left a beautiful sunny day behind. Until we meet again on other discoveries, stay with love and nature.

Pınargözün de yaklaşık iki saat vakit geçirdik. Burada hep birlikte, alabalık yedik. Etrafı gezdik. Çayımızı yudumladık. Sohbet ettik. Artık dönme vaktimiz gelmişti. Hava kararmadan eve dönmeliydik. Şehir merkezinden yaklaşık iki saat uzaklıktaydık. Hemen toparlanarak yola çıktık. Güzel güneşli bir günü de böylece geride bıraktık. Başka keşiflerde tekrar görüşmek üzere, sevgiyle ve doğayla kalın.
