​We have many memories from the past that we can never forget. Perhaps it's a glance, a smile, or even a moment of fear that we can't get out of our minds. In fact, during such times, we often record moments that we particularly enjoy, moments we'll look back on and laugh at, moments that bring us joy. Today, I'll talk about the videos and photos we take. Shall we bring back the excitement and happiness that lies within these beautiful memories we don't want to forget?

Geçmişte yaşanmış ve unutamadığımız bir çok anılarımız oluyor. Belki bir bakışı, belki bir gülüşü ve belki de korku dolu bir anımızı aklımızdan çıkaramıyoruz. When was the last time you picked up your phone and recorded a video? We don't want to leave some of our memories in photos. Because the excitement of that moment is something else entirely. Because video is alive. It speaks, it moves. It lets us relive, again and again, our laughter, our fun, and our happiness... Isn't that right? Think about it. Someone filmed you dancing. When you watch the video again, you might say, "I danced like crazy here," or you might criticize yourself a little and say, "I danced so badly."

Long ago, before cell phones existed, our memories were always etched in our minds. We remembered the past through the stories our elders told us. Or, in the evening, while the family gathered in the living room to talk about the past, we would look at the yellowed and somewhat worn photographs in the album pulled from the drawer. Now, our memories are stored in the photos and videos on our phones. With a single touch, we can hear the excitement, happiness, and perhaps even the soft, gentle voices of our childhood memories.

Çok eskiden cep telefonu yokken, anılarımız hep hafızalarımıza kazınırdı. Büyüklerimizin anlattığı hikayelerle geçmişi hatırlıyorduk. Ya da akşamüstü salonda toplanan aile geçmişi konuşurken, çekmeceden çıkarılan albümdeki sararmış ve biraz da yıpranmış fotoğraflara bakardık. Şu an ki anılarımız ise bir telefonumuzun içindeki fotoğraf ve videolarda saklıdır. Tek bir dokunuşla geçmişteki anılarımızın heyecanını, mutluluğunu ve belki de çocukluğumuzun o ince sesli halini bile duyabiliyoruz.

We often film graduation memories or birthday parties. I'm sure most of us have immortalized that moment when everyone wears the same outfit and throws their caps in the air. Or, at a birthday party, when everyone gathers and blows out the candles, video cameras are turned on. That moment isn't just captured in a photograph; the emotions within the video are also evident. We film not only for ourselves but also to show it to others and share the emotions experienced at that moment.

You've joined a tour of a place you've been very curious about and never seen before. Sometimes, instead of living in the moment—a mistake I also make—we focus on capturing ourselves in photos and videos, without noticing the beauty of our surroundings. We constantly take pictures to capture the perfect angle at every point we visit. I believe the most beautiful photos and videos are those taken spontaneously, without pretense. They are genuine and heartfelt.

Çok merak ettiğiniz ve daha önce hiç görmediğiniz bir gezi turuna katıldınız. Bazen benim de yaptığım yanlışlardan biri olan anı yaşamak yerine, kendimizi kaydederek fotoğraf çekmek için uğraşıyoruz. O sırada etrafın güzelliğini fark edemeden yaşadığımız heyecanı video ve fotoğraflara saklıyoruz. Gezdiğimiz her bir noktada doğru açıyı yakalayabilmek için, sürekli fotoğraf çekiyoruz. Bence en güzel fotoğraf ve videolar, habersiz çekilen doğal fotoğraf ve videolardır. Çünkü içinde gösteriş yoktur. Samimiyet ve içtenlik vardır.

When we take photos and videos, we actually want to leave a memory for the future. We leave traces of our past for those who will watch the video in the future. Perhaps we take videos so that the beautiful moment we experienced that day doesn't disappear from time. This is perhaps a rebellion against stopping time.

Çektiğimiz fotoğraf ve videolarda aslında bizler, geleceğe bir anı bırakmak isteriz. İleride videoyu izleyecekler için, geçmişimizden izler bırakırız. Belki de o gün içinde yaşadığımız o güzel anın zamandan kaybolmaması için video çekeriz. Bu belki de zamanı durdurmaya yönelik yaptığımız bir isyandır.

Sometimes when we look at photos we took in the past, we see what we were like at that time. The truth is, the person in that photo isn't who we are anymore. We've grown up, gotten older, and perhaps our personalities have changed. Or maybe we were children, and now we're young adults.

Bazen geçmişte çektiğimiz fotoğraflara bakınca, o zaman dilimindeki kendi halimizin nasıl olduğunu da görüyoruz. Şu bir gerçek, o fotoğraftaki biz, artık biz değiliz. Büyüdük, yaşlandık ve belki de kişiliğimiz değişti. Ya da çocuktuk, genç olduk.

Zamanın gerisinde bıraktığımız ve hayatın içinden koparılan o küçük anılarımızla hikayeler kurmaya devam edelim.
