Phone Photography Contest - 48
Walking around my neighborhood, I came across these girls. One of them, the blonde with blue eyes, is in the foreground. But the other three behind her are also interesting. I really like taking photos of the mannequins in shop windows; I see them as silent witnesses of our own existence. These girls, the protagonists of my photos, are not real people, but even so, I see a certain humanity in their eyes. Each one seems to tell a story, reflecting the emotions and experiences that we project onto them. Watching them, I feel that they somehow represent us, trapped in their own stillness but always present, watching the world go by.
This is my entry for this week's contest.
Paseando por mi barrio, me encontré con estas chicas. Una de ellas, la rubia de ojos celestes, sale en primer plano. Pero las otras tres que están detrás también son interesantes. Me gusta mucho tomar fotos de los maniquíes en los escaparates; los veo como testigos mudos de nuestra propia existencia. Estas chicas, protagonistas de mis fotos, no son personas de carne y hueso, pero aun así, veo una cierta humanidad en sus ojos. Cada una parece contar una historia, reflejando las emociones y vivencias que proyectamos sobre ellas. Observándolas, siento que de alguna manera nos representan, atrapadas en su propia quietud pero siempre presentes, observando el mundo pasar.
