The Cry of a Palestinian Woman

When we hear the word “war,” images of destruction, fire, blood, and death come to mind. But war is not limited to bombs, bullets, and guns. War is a mother’s heartbreaking cry for her child, a sister’s heartbreaking cry, a wife’s lonely wait—a wait that never ends.

Palestinian women are the greatest witnesses to this pain. Day after day, year after year, they are losing loved ones—children, husbands, fathers, brothers. Every housewife’s kitchen is like a battlefield, where there is no food, no water, no electricity—there is only a constant struggle for survival.
