ahhh the contrast. from your pictures it is hard to tell anything in the US is out of place.
how did you perceive the difference in spirit in the people? when contrasted to germans americans are so very different. it was welcoming and really heartwarming when i went those few times. at the same time a lot of it seemed to be superimposed and not always genuine.
your kids will forever remember that disneyland stay i am sure

Everything just felt over the top there. Sure the service was efficient and friendly 9 times out of 10, but like you say there was something fake about it all. Friendly on the surface but likely with a world of problems underneath.
Nothing really felt out of place in Florida and walking around Orlando & St.Augustine you wouldn't know this nation is on the verge of total breakdown. Though it is generally perceived as America's holiday state with wealthier residents and probably not a good marker for overall country health.
Both kids and adults will remember that day at Disney forever! Personally i will never forget those dastardly 'Disney police' who wouldn't let me take my shoes off.
ahahahaha. company policy right? ;))
