While waiting for a tour date of the wine cellars...

...I will share more landscapes taken from the balcony at Waterkloof Wine Estate.

I wish that you could stand up high while drinking in the beauty and breathing the fresh mountain air.

We were limited for time, as we can only take short trips around the town for 1 hour, as then we have to be back. I would love a whole day to spend at this wine estate to explore and to hear the local stories. The estate has a top rating, and their wines are sold all over the world. Tourists that visit here even order their wine regularly to be sent to their homes in other countries.

The beauty is breath taking, and I bet that I will get much wildlife here when I have the time. So, don't forget to put the Waterkloof Wine Estate on your bucket list when you visit the Western Cape Province of South Africa.

I took this photo below from the parking lot of the Chorus restaurant building.

That line on the mountain in the background, is the Sir Lowry's mountain pass.

Here's a closer look at the pass. The old steam train that runs on this route passes through a tunnel underneath the bridge that you see at the right hand side.

All of the photos below were taken from the high open-air balcony of the Chorus restaurant.

The second building at the front is also on the farm, and inside that building is an authentic Italian cheese bar. Handmade cheeses where one can see the entire processes of cheese making. They also sell to the public and have a seating area for diners.

Finally, this was the road down the hill on the estate, on our way back home.

I have shown you the wine estate over the past two days in my posts, and if you read the previous one yesterday, you will see that a friendly staff member promised to arrange a tour of the actual wine cellars for us. So now we await a date and a time for the tour, and I will take you with on my camera. You can also check the wine estate out for yourself HERE

Click on the tabs to read and see the full story of the wine estate, and I bet that you will find it very interesting. The farm is under excellent management with also a love to protect nature, and the awarded wines are top class. So, pop in and you will not be disappointed.

Good news is that the city of Cape Town was recently top rated as the best and most attractive city in the world.

Cape Town has outshone Bangkok, New York and Melbourne in happiness, fine dining and breathtaking scenery to top the annual Best Cities in World list released by Time Out on Wednesday.

Thank you, and we don't have any rice fields in the country. You saw grape vines and citrus trees that are planted in rows, on the farmlands. !LOL
