Waiting at a hospital.

Now what kind of photos can one get at a hospital?
031.jpg

A patient was about to be released and she asked us to take her home.

So, while my wife was inside, I walked around to see what I could get on camera. Now prior to the patient's release, they have to wait for the morning doctor to arrive, as he has to sign the release form. Then the patient had to go to the hospital's pharmacy and wait in a queue to collect her medicines. Finally, about 2 hours later I was glad to see them emerging from the main entrance. The patient was pushed along in a wheelchair by an orderly, and my wife carried her bags Now I don't know too much about the kind of operation that she had, but I think that it had something to do with her gearbox. Save it to say that we took her safely to her home.
Let me show you some photos that I got while waiting outside.

The two photos below were taken on our way to the hospital, and you will see a real moody weather day.

And now we were at the hospital and I took the photos in the car parking grounds.
028.JPG

The sun tried to break through a swirl of clouds but the cold wind kept it covered with clouds.
045.JPG

I heard a helicopter towards the west, and I thought that it would come in to land at the hospital, but no, it stayed in it's line of flight towards the south.
042.JPG

Then a palm tree jumped in front of the helicopter to spoil my shot :)

After dropping the patient at her home, we took a roundabout way back, and I want to show you how finicky the weather was.
This was a look at the southeast.
010.JPG

And the last two photos were in a northeast direction.

Light and dark interplayed consistently, and the clouds was driven by demented winds at speed. Constant color changes, and then finally the heavy rainy clouds arrived to eventually drop everything into a wet darkness. We have had heavy rains here in the past weeks and it seems that it will continue for another few weeks. Many areas were flooded, and I think that during the winter seasons, we should all park our cars and use boats to get around. Only joking, but yes, things can get very wet here lately and the word is that the storms are getting progressively worse every year.
We will just have to bear with it.
Such is life.

I hope you enjoyed the pictures and the story.

Shoo, that looks like the Cape of Storms indeed, I would be very nervous about flying down your way if I were a helicopter pilot!
I hope the lady's gearbox is working again:) And, that you don't have more damaging rains this winter!
Blessings to you and your Lady Marian <3

Thankfully the dangerous parts are over, as now we only have light rain. But yes, thousands lost their homes again.
We are visiting the lady next week and then I will see if her gears are working again :)

Thank you kindly, and blessings also you and the family my dear friend.

Cold fronts sweeping in like huge waves over the Cape once again, more snow forecast over the weekend. Now capturing a glimpse between the many you have had this year, glad the lady who had her gears changed in home tucked up safely once again.

Take care!

Yep, and we are all hoping that it will be the last one for this winter. The thing is that the little birds are already on their nests, and snow will be a great threat to them. But as you say, we are glad to have these little breaks between the horror that we have had with all of the storms now.
We are visiting the lady next week to see if she is now on an auto box !LOLZ

Always and you too!

Frost and cold conditions with any young life is difficult. Your wet season will fill dams up no worrying about running out of water. !LUV

Yep, and of course the icy wind lately, as it feels like I am walking around in a fridge.
Good news is that all of the dams are at 100% and overflowing since last week's storms. New cold front landing tomorrow. Unusual to have such a long series of cold fronts.

Only one front arrived all the way up here, dropped 15mm it was welcome, more needed but nothing in our forecast as yet this side. Stay warm and dry !LUV

Sad, and maybe the one that we have here now will also reach your area. Rained the whole day and will continue for the next 2 days. The sensor on our gate came loose and I tried to fix it in the rain, but it's madness to work in the wet with electric tools, so I will have to wait for a dry spot. So I went inside and dried myself !LOLZ

No sign of any rain predicted, get the wind and that is about it. Repairing electrical in the rain definitely not a great idea. Have a great day!

Wet off and on for the whole day, and strong winds driving the clouds all over the place. Had the gate motor guy here, but he will have to come back on a dry day.
I hope your day was good.

Cooler up here, not a cloud in sight with rain. Gate motor may simply be wet needing to dry out to work, humidity or rain affects ours like that.

A sad story as rain always breaks the heat. The motor is running, but the stop and start signal mounted at the bottom of the gate got hooked and broken off by the motor gear. It was remounted and then we discovered that the motor's settings were erratic. The gate guy opened the motor's mother board, but it was okay, but he did not know how to adjust the signal settings. So, I got the motor guy out and he also didn't know how to reset the motor. Now we have to wait, as he said that he will contact the manufacturer to tell him how to do it. What a life. We will have to pay a call out fee plus labor, and that's not all. So, let's see how it works out. Nothing is cheap anymore.

I would only pay once the motor is working properly once again, or they must swap it out for another. Suppliers come with cheap of late, when our motor showed signs of problems we were advised to hang onto it it's an older one far more reliable.

Good luck all these electronic things are not worth half of what they claim.

Oh yes, that's the understanding, and he has promised now twice that he will call me when he has the details, but no call yet. The motor is a good make and it is strong enough to make a big dent in our car's door, but that's another story. The thing is that gate "experts" fiddled with the settings and now the gate is on auto, which it is not supposed to be. It is supposed to open and close only on the remote.
Tired of electronics!

Same as our gate motor you need to use remote only or the damned thing dents the side of the car. Too many electronic things not worthwhile, still padlock gate at night.

Oh yes, I would love to have the old manual padlocked gate, but we live in a complex and everyone has to fit the same automated gates. Mind you, it works well when it's healthy, but it's a real headache when its sick !LOLZ

When we had our gate made requested a padlock system as well, night visitors who take the motors.

Always a problem, as gate motors are stolen all over. Thankfully there are many cameras focused on the street here, and they know that they will be spotted. The camera run on batteries when the power is cut, and we have security company vans patrolling the street 24/7.

This will be ongoing problem people need formal employment until that happens theft will continue, all deterrents only good when everyone works together.

It will take time, so far the going appears to be good, we cannot see behind locked doors so live in hope.

Thank you, my friend, prayers always help. Difficult with the storms, and the mountains of damages, but yeah, it will not be long now until spring season arrives.
