Tin dragonflies flying over.

As in man's attempt to build a flying machine based on the properties of nature's dragonfly. Let me show you some helicopters.

This one above, was a military chopper, making its way over.

Whenever we work in the garden at home, I always have my camera nearby, as our home is close to a river, and I often get some lovely shots of birds flying over our house. Occasionally I also hear the advancing clatter of a chopper and when it comes into our space, then I get it on camera.
Helicopter trips are booked by tourists for sightseeing purposes and a few times they cruise over our house, as we are also close to the seashore. So, the passengers can view the mountains on the one side, and the ocean on the other side at the same time.

Here below are some shots that I took over the past months.

Occasionally, I get lucky and something like this Bi-Plane below comes over to make my day.

All colors, shapes and sizes, as they fly up and down the coastline on the way back to the big city of Cape Town. They also run tours to other areas across the Western Cape Province and all that any visitor to the country needs to do is to Google, Cape Town, Helicopter Tours.

My dream is to take one of those tours one day, the cheapest one no doubt, but yes, when I watch the choppers going over, I can only imagine how great it could be. I saw that wine tasting and winery tours are also available and it must be a dream to land on a wine farm over here, such as this one below.

I don't know about a few of you that are now in the silver blogger stage, age wise, but I for one certainly wish that I was 20 years younger. Okay, maybe 30 years younger, as there are so many exciting adventures to enjoy here. How's a tandem paraglider jump off Table Mountain sound? Or a river, wild water stint in a kayak? Or maybe I should try to build my own helicopter to take my friends here on hive for a free ride Lol.
Empty dreams I know, but dreams are free :)

I hope that you enjoyed the pictures and the story.

Dreams are free, I also wish I could turn the clock by about 30 years and can go flying about seeing places taking photographs and relaxing. Then it was the kids, now it's health. Life is funny.

The way that I see it, is that we had our chances a long time ago, but our situations and focusses were different. Had we known what we know now, we would certainly have fulfilled our dreams.
And you are right, as now health has stepped in to spoil it all. Life is indeed funny !LOL
