The last day of the year.

The days seem to fly at a new speed of their own.
003.jpg

Consider this, everything that you say or do, on the last day will be the last things that you do in the year 2025.

I also had to do this post at the speed of the days, as I have trouble with the PC. One of the major service providers continues to hassle me for verification. The problem is that they have stopped the programmes that I was using for Papillon, and I asked a friend if he could sort it out for me. Now when I open the PC to do something, then some parts of the software are blocked, so I will have to search for a PC-fundi to tell me how to sort it out.

But not to worry, as one thing that I know is that everything has an end, and if I don't come right then I will just scrap everything on the PC and start all over again. In any case, I decided to post these mountain shots to show you that time stands still for them. They are, what they call, rock solid. I often look at the trails of ants here at our place, and it seems to me that they can communicate with each other, as they move along in lines across the bottom of the garden wall. It always reminds me of us standing in long queues.

This below has been carrying on for centuries, and I think it will continue till the end of the world.

Clouds wrapping the mountains.

A big cloud also escaped across the lower mountain slopes, and the tree were standing and looking at the cloud in awe.

I wanted to show you how a strong wind flows across the palm trees.

And finally, this looked ominous, as maybe a storm was on its way.

But no, it didn't rain and as I am in trouble with my PC, just so are we in trouble with the supply of drinking water in our area. No rain and the blazing and thirsty African sun is a recipe for disaster. The dam levels continue to drop every day, and we expect to receive notices of water restrictions soon. We have had this before and it means that no fresh water can be used to water lawns, to wash cars, to fill swimming pools, and the full water streams that run from our taps are throttled into trickles.

Another thing about this scenario as we as humans are very finicky, for instance we cry and pray for rain, and then when a big storm arrives with abundant water that creates floods, then we cry and pray for the rain to stop. Does that make sense? People are talking about setting targets for the new year. They call it resolutions. My new year resolutions run out maybe in late February or early March. Lol. We make our plans and then life happens, but we always have an excuse for our failures, don't we?
Such is life.

I hope you enjoyed the pictures and the story.

The palm trees being buffeted by strong winds look captivating, as if they're testing their courage. Hopefully, your PC issue is resolved quickly.

Yeah, I am glad that you saw the palms in the wind, and you have a good eye for detail :)
Still have to wait, as everyone is still on holiday, but I am sure that the PC will get sorted out, if it doesn't crash in the meantime.

Hope that you will have a good New Year.

Great photo, those white clouds look both stunning and terrifying.

How far is the mountain from where you took this photo?

This must be an amazing camera lens. Great photo.

Oh yes, there is a tremendous increase in the population, and that is also a part of the problem.

Already done an upgrade, but there seems to be a clash somewhere that we cannot figure out. Only alterative now is to delete all, and to re-install. Just maybe we will find the problem in the meantime, and as a last resort, I will sit without a PC as it has to be booked in at the place from where we bought the PC.

Thank you kindly for the wishes, and also a Happy New Year to you and yours.

Nothing more annoying than updates that go wrong, many turning to Linux. Hope this is sorted out soon.

Have a great day!
