Take a ride into history.

We have discovered a wonderful new place, and this post will give you an idea of what it was.

A ride like this is what one needs when the heat makes you snoogle eyed.

As we pulled our car into a parking space at a local shop, my wife told me to have a look towards my right. And there it was, a real vintage BMW with a side car and the bike is in its original condition. Imagine how many riders this bike had over the years, and I can only guess about its history. Did it for instance transport any military officers during the war? One can only guess about it.

So, let me start from the first that I saw the bike. The owner was happy for me to take photos of it.

Here below he started the bike and I heard the old familiar engine beat of the BMW.

The guy gave me a friendly goodbye smile, and I think that the guy in the sidecar was busy playing a game in hive on his phone :)

And then they departed.

Finally, that road that he turned into leads to a lovely cool and shady spot near this mountain.

What I can tell you about us finding a new place, totally unexpectedly, is that you are going to be blown away when you see the lifelong collection of an elderly guy. We all, or some of us, like to collect things with no plan about what to do with it eventually. Not this old guy, as he created something amazing out of his passion and I will show you what he did in a few posts over the next days. I hope that you will be just as surprised as we were when we discovered the place.
