Some mountain views.
One of those rare clear days, and we were happy to be out and about.
I got myself a pocket full of mountain shots, as clear days are hard to come by.
In fact, the mountains called as they knew my dilemma, and it was my pleasure to answer the call. Cold fronts keep on rolling in, and winter keeps us all fooled by its refusal to release its grip. But it was the same last year, and we are only grateful for the rare warm days. The wildlife just continues to endure, and sad to see how the birds and the squirrels get wet here. The good thing about all of this, is that our dam levels are increasing, as we are in a winter rainfall area.
A peak wrapped in cloud peeked at me from behind the rim of the mountain at the front.
Now here below was an interesting view, as there was a bit of sunshine on the upper peak in the valley.
Here is a closer look at it.
And then a cloud started to close it all up.
Finally, the clouds started taking over, and I was happy with the views,
We live in a Mediterranean climate, with hot dry summers and wet winters, but we would not want to go and live anywhere else, as there is abundant nature here, and I call it a photographer's paradise. Between the wildlife and the coastal views, the place is ideal for a photographic journey. I take regular photographic journeys between the mountains and the sea, and there is always something to get on camera.
Many times, we also encounter surprises, and I am always grateful for it. Now you might want to ask what kind of surprises, and I have posted many of them. Things like, unexpected appearances of predator birds, flowers, animals, and such like. One can never know what you will get on camera if one walks around in this bay. And so, if any of you are thinking about visiting South Africa, you can put the Western Cape Province at the top of your bucket list.
I hope you enjoyed the pictures and story.

Rugged and yet so beautiful, I love mountain scenery like that not any of that near here
We have bene lucky with some nice days recently, well to nice in a way the grass is looking more like hay, but yesterday and this morning we got much needed rain, and have gale force winds coming in today and tomorrow as the Hurricane passes by fortunately out to see so not to dangerous
have a good one
A pity that you don't have mountain scenery at your end.
I think that you guys are now headed for fall. We call it autumn. And yeah, then the grass will start to look like hay. Glad that you got the rain that you were hoping for, and even more glad that the hurricane will not make landfall near you guys.
Take care and greetings to your wife.

Autunm has some of the best colors on show, and I see it as the season to get great tree and mountain reflections on the dams.
A time to prepare for winter :)

I love the colors of autumn but look at it as Natures tease before the long cold winter

Beautiful scenery, showing the clear and beautiful colours of the sky 👍
Thank you, and glad that you like it.
I also Iove going to the mountain. Most of the time, I go there just to have photowalks and sometimes I go there to look for mushrooms... I think it's about time to make another video of my latest mushroom hunt in the mountain. What do you think?🤗❤️❤️
Great that you also go to the mountains. On Hive you can do anything, as long as it is your own. 👍
