Some mountain shots to share with you.
At times the clouds flow over the mountains, but not this time.
This time, the clouds decided to go across the face of the mountains.
For a change the wind behaved, and the clouds cruised past halfway down the mountain face, in slow motion. I love to see the constant changes of the mountain sights, as the clouds always deliver some beautiful views. The biggest mountain that we had, when we lived up north in the country, was called the Magaliesberg mountains, but they were the size of a hill compared to these mountains down south. We have several mountain ranges down here and we plan to visit all of them.
Come and see.
This was where I was standing to take the pictures with my camera on zoom.
The following pictures are closeups of the mountain range. There was still some sea mist in the air, but not so bad that we couldn't see a clear outline of the mountains.
This separate piece of mountain here below, is where our signal towers are planted at the top.
Here below you can dimly see the signal towers.
And I leave you with a twin palms shot. Amazingly, there is a suburb here that is called Twin Palms.
The mountain range that you see here is called the Hottentots-Holland Mountain range. It has a very long history and can tell some interesting tales about the struggle by the early settlers to cross the mountain with their ox-wagons. By now you know that I love the mountains as they give me a great sense of peace when I am near them.
So be it as they say.
An interesting book to read about the mountains is, A Guide to the Helderberg & Hottentots Holland Mountain Rim: Mountains, Trails, History, Legends, Caves, Rock Art and Rock Climbs. By Steve Chadwick (2022).
I hope you have enjoyed the pictures and the story.

Nice photos, i love Mountains.
Thank you and I share your love for the mountains :))
This is what I call scary high 😂😂
No need to be scary, as we love the mountains :)
Absolutely it's very beautiful
Agreed!
the beauty of nature lies in the mountains when it is foggy, it is the most beautiful thing to see, especially after it rains, it looks even more green. Thank you for sharing with us👍
I agree and the fog certainly enhances the views of the mountains. We have not had rain here, but the fog was created by the wind blowing over the sea.

Do you love this close to the mountains? If so, then you're really lucky! I would be hiking every weekend 😊 Well, if I didn't have the garden of course 😂
Yes, we live between the mountains and the Atlantic ocean. We are blessed and sadly I cannot hike due to my left leg badly smashed in a motor bike accident some years ago. But I do manage to get around on a slow walk. A garden is always a pleasure, and it seems that we like the same things 😊
