Robbie has also adopted the new drinking bowl.
But he had something else in mind for the bowl.
Oh yes, I think that you know what Robbie had in mind.
We bought the bowl at one of those Crazy Store shops, as they sell very cheap things, and instead of getting a hanger basket for the bowl, we decided to leave it on the floor of our garden. Just as well, as the squirrels and the big ring-neck doves also come to drink from the bowl. Robbie is the first to bath in the bowl, and he really enjoyed it.
He is a Cape Robin Chat (Cossypha caffra) and a real cheeky little fella with much attitude. I don't know if he would allow Mrs. Robin to also bath in the bowl, as he knows that I am watching from the window. !Lol.
A real smart little guy is our Robbie.
Another quick splash.
And then he made sure that I saw how clean he is.
The squirrel mom must have waited until Robbie was done, and then she came in for a drink. I will have to tell her not to drink bath water :))
It is fun to watch the action in our front garden, and just a pity that I have to struggle to get the photos through a small windowpane with burglar bars at the front of it, so I have to dodge with the camera in between the bars, and if I move too fast, the birds simply disappear.
See what I mean below?
Not easy, but I cope, as I stick the camera out between the bars. At the beginning I struggled, but thankfully over time I started to get things right. Of course, I cannot hold the camera with both hands to steady it due to the space constraints, so it is a single-handed affair, and I am limited with the scope. The window opens outward, and I push it against the bars to stick my hand with the camera through the bars.
Nevertheless, I try, and the shots don't come out too bad. No, it is not perfect, as almost every 3 shots have one blurred shot in it, and it remains to be a struggle.
But as usual I am not complaining, as I simply take what I can get, without being hard on myself.
I hope you enjoyed Robbie's thoughts about the use of the water bowl, and the story.

Thank you kindly for the support on this post.
What a nice story about Roobie and the water bowl. I knew the images without the story would be just as good, but your story and the entire process of capturing the event in photos were an excellent complement.
Thank you for your appreciation and the compliment. !PIZZA
