RE: My breast cancer diaries 2: a cancer patient is not a doormat

Yep, you were right milady, as you said it's a long read. So, I waited until I had time and my wife and I read it together. It sounds like you are going through a terrible time, and it is sad that there are not many compassionate people around that understand the stresses that you have to endure. Are there no support groups over there that you can contact? During this time, you need all of the passionate support that you can get. We continue to pray for you every day, since I read your first missive.

It is a challenging time.My family is my support group. Funny thing the cancer support group ladies never reached me once to check up on me. There is a lot of superficiality, of people aparently standing up for a cause but being careless in private for real. So I rely on family more than on strangers who are more keen to post on social media than actually making real human contact . Not all people who got away from cancer are caring and supportive towards new patients, the reason why our society is so fucked up is because of egocentrism. People care about themselves.

I find support in my priest, family , friends and God. Sadly enough the cancer group ladies like to post on social media more than anything else. Real story.

Hugs and thank you for the caring comment and thoughts🤗❤

We know that you will get through this, as we believe in prayer. So strange that the cancer support group is not checking up on you, as that is supposed to be why they exist. It is at times like this that one discovers the realities in life, people just don't care, even if they make out that they care. Maybe those that also had cancer are scared that it will remind them about their own frailties and fears.
You know that you will get through it, and we know that you will grow a lot of strength from this episode in your life. We are also glad that you have some genuine support, and God will see you through.
Know that we pray for you!

Yes it is odd as I can see through the feed how many of the women from there post pics from social gatherings. Interesting bitter experience. Those who have a genuine care for others will always check up, those who do not will always have an excuse. This is why working with people is vocational and no one can fake a genuine care for another human in need.

I thank you for holding me in your prayers I need it now more than ever! Thank you so much❤🤗

The world is made up like this, those who genuinely care, and those that just don't. They care only for themselves and if they do something good, they post it all over for people to see how good they are, but in the meantime it is to enhance themselves. Always for the self. Those that care don't have a need to do this, as genuine care needs no advertising.

You are a fighter, and the Lord will help you to get through this.

We will just continue with prayer ❤️
