Photography in nature.

I have a Canon Powershot Bridge camera, and I want to show you how it copes with nature shots.

We visited a wine farm recently during a power cut in the late afternoon.

Now this is the same camera that I use to get the clear big shots of the moon. The Powershot has many settings that are suitable for different applications, such as sports, video, macro etcetera, and I use it mainly for its famous zoom power.

In this SOURCE link, I will get Canon to describe the abilities of this camera, much better than I can.

I tried to get clear reflections of the two Hadeda Ibis birds in the water, but the wind rippled the water.

The guy at the back shouted, Come Jessie it's time to go

So, they took off unexpectantly and had I known, I would have used the Sports setting on the camera.

Now for three still life shots on the Macro setting with the zoom.

I took the goldfish shots on Auto at another venue with a fountain, that I will share with you in another post, as there was also a lot of bird action.

Finally, when we arrived back home some fairy rain was coming down.

So, in here I just tried to show you some of the properties of my camera, and I know of a few persons here on hive that have the same camera. Once that one gets used to the settings, photography becomes a pleasure, all that it takes is a lot of practice. The bonus is that one doesn't have to lug a bag with lenses all over the show. I take on average about 200 photos in an hour, depending on where we are, and so the daily 2 hour power cuts are plenty of time for me to go out and to get what I want.

Many a time, some unexpected sights also present themselves, such as our recent discovery of the motorbike museum, and the rare giant jellyfish at the harbor and I am always glad when people like the things that I share in my posts. My wife always accompanies me, but she is not a photographer, and instead, she much rather forages and studies the things in nature. We are lucky to have so many places to go here in our paradise, and for us not one day is the same.

I hope that you liked the pictures and the story.

I love the way you invest that free time. These pictures are amazing, I really liked the reflection of the birds, although it wasn't perfect it's a beautiful scene and I laughed a lot when the one in the back screamed and took Jessie 😅 I admire the Hive photographers very much, I would love to be one of you, but for now I have to be content with my cell phone and admire the work of others. This post is a great experience for those who live it, congratulations!...

Thank you and if it wasn't for the power cuts, we wouldn't have so much free time. I like the way that you have explained the post and my attempt at humor with Jessie.
The day will come that you also have your own camera, and you must just save up for it on Hive. In the meantime, cell phones can also take beautiful photos.
Thank you again.
