Peace and serenity.

Also awe as the sights were all beautiful.

Although I open the post with a mountain, this is not a mountain post, as I only want to get your eyes used to the lighting on the day. It was late afternoon, and as usual my eyes were upon the sky to stare in wonder at the views. I gathered a collection of shots to share with you, and I hope that you will also find the views amazing.

Where the two shall meet, is my theme for this post, as a strong wind met with the clouds to create some intense moments. Sights like I have never seen before, and I don't think that I will ever see it again. But I don't mind, as the winds dancing with the clouds will continue to conjure up beautiful images.
Come and have a look.

No, I will not comment on any of the photos except for the last one that describes the end of the day. I have told you before about the gale force winds that we have here for the last weeks, and the winds continue to draft the clouds inland and also along the coastlines. Coastal towns in other provinces are flooded with rain, and up north, in places like Gauteng, people have hailstorms. Other towns face drought as their dams are drying up, and water restrictions are in place.

And finally, a curtain of sunrays closed the day.

We are also in a spot of bother in the Cape, as our dam levels are receding due to the thirsty sun, and it might be that we will also see water restrictions soon. People blame El Nina and El Nino, descriptive terms of the climate patterns that break the normal weather conditions. I don't want to go into the jargon to explain the differences between El Nina and El Nino as you can google it to find out what it is.

In our case, we are next to the Atlantic Ocean, and it has a great influence on our weather patterns. But enough about the weather and let me rather talk about the views that emanate from these systems. Cloud patterns galore, and no day is the same. So, the winds keep me busy in my free time, as Mother Nature knows that I love the sky. Both my wife and I are outdoor people, and when our work allows some free moments then we head straight into nature.
Such is life.

I hope you enjoyed the pictures and the story.

That's precisely the hunt of mountains. It makes you feel tiny, and that's the part of understanding our role in nature which brings serenity and peace.
