In storms, beauty can be found.

In the middle of difficulty, lies opportunity. Albert Einstein.

But one has to persevere and search for the opportunities.

At times it depends on change. A change about our mindsets, and the way that we do things. Let me tell you a little story.
I have a diploma from a university for a project management course that I attended, and I thought that it was the absolute correct way to write and implement charity projects. Not so, as it worked for some projects, and in other projects it was a disaster. Why? What happened?
Well, life happened, and whenever this occurs it catches one totally offside. The unexpected took place, and that taught me to be open to change.
They say that variety is the spice of life, and this is a great truth, as even nature teaches us that.

So, amid the grey and wet storms, beauty can be found.

I was prepared for a brief break in the rain, and this was the result.

Now, who would expect that something like this would happen, especially as the sky was grey and rain was falling.

The photos above were taken towards the east of the mountain range, and this one below is what the view to the south looked like.

So, if you sit indoors during storms, you will never see this, and it is the same in life. As if one is not prepared to change the way of doing things then one cannot expect any improvements to appear. I have planned and wrote two new projects that I wanted to launch in January of this new year, and both had to be cancelled for several reasons that I could not control. That's when life happens. In the meantime, the answer was right under my nose as I changed my approach, and we launched a pilot of a new charity project with great success. I could have saved myself many heartaches with the other two projects, but it was not to be. Negativity is slow poison, and apparent setbacks are actually opportunities for something better to take place. One just has to be open to new possibilities.
Such is life.

Note: I will show you tomorrow what a real storm looks like.

I hope you enjoyed the pictures and the story.

I worked for around 20 years like project planner and project manager in the social issues field here in Italy (for European and national funds) and I loved so much my job even if I used to work on the projects a very large numbers of hours at week (but with good results at the end 😊 ). After I decided it was time for me to change my life in a more quiet way, at now I help to work on projects a couple of friends of mine just from time to time and just for the project I really like. I think the course that you attended it's really a great resourse to have the right skills to write and implement the charity projects! Well done!

Well, you have had much better successes than what I had milady. I put most of my time into Hive, as eventually we will have enough funds to not only expand the existing long-term projects, but also to launch new projects. There is a great need in our country, and we do all that we can to help. We don't have a great economy, and we lead the world in the un-employment numbers. So, millions don't have jobs with the result that people and their families suffer.
It is a real mountain to climb, but Papillon is now 24 years old this year, and we will just continue with what we do.

That opportunity to take such beautiful photos of the storm, the gray, the clouds, has been a wonderful way to move your mind and change your perspective on things. Negativity is certainly poisonous, and as the aphorism goes: After the storm always comes the calm. It's about finding the good in every experience, taking advantage of it, and enjoying the process. By the way, your photos are amazing

Oh yes, I regard nature as a wonderful teacher, and it has taught us many lessons. Patience is one of the lessons, and mindfulness is another one. To live in the now every minute is so important, as it is what one does in the now, will affect the morrow. Just our way of doing things.
Thank you for the kind compliment about my photos.

Thank you. Human beings are frail. That's why hope and positivity are a great help in the ups and downs of live, and humor also helps. !LOL

In the world of mountains, it is sunny in one place and cloudy in another. We all go to the mountains to see all these beautiful views so that we can relax.

I really enjoyed the photos, and I think the message is important. We have to be open to change to ever move forward in life. If we let negativity own our setbacks, then we blind ourselves to the lessons we could be learning. Thank you for sharing!

This is a really beautiful scene during the storm that you have shared here in the form of photography. If you stay at home or in your room, such a scene will never come in front of you or you will not be able to see it. Secondly, the projects that you have started, unfortunately, you have not been committed to them and had to leave them. So I think that you should start the same project again as you have completed them.
