...every day from the front verandah of your home.

Sitting on a comfortable chair, with a hot mug of coffee and some biscuits.

It was my wife's aunt's birthday, and the aunt is very close to us, so we visited her at her home. It was a cold day, but thankfully the bleak winter sun was shining, and I took a few shots of the views. As you will see below, I took a few photos of the mountain during our visit, and it is simply amazing to see the view changes on that mountain.

My wife is the arty one, and as the aunt has a large garden, she thought to get her aunt some lovely birthday gifts, such as this one in the photo below, to put in her garden. But the aunt is also an arty one, and she decided to rather put the gifts on her verandah.
I will show you more about the gifts in a post tomorrow, as in here I want to concentrate on the mountain views.

Okay, now let's have a look at that mountain, and some drastic weather changes.

Then the time arrived for us to head home, and at our side, the sky was a bit lighter.

Just goes to show how a strong wind can change the views in a short period of time. We stayed at the aunt's place for about 3 hours, and then my bad leg started to moan, as the wind brought along colder conditions. Family is very important as they keep a person grounded, and although my own family has passed away, my wife's family has adopted me as their own. She has quite a big family, and I get along with every one of them.

The Cape of Storms is well known by the locals and the fact that it borders on the wild Atlantic Ocean, makes things awkward during a strong windy day as things can change in an instant weatherwise. Just imagine that you visit somewhere, dressed lightly because the sun is shining, and then a rapid change in the weather makes the sun to disappear, and the temperatures turn icy. I can tell you that it's not a very comfortable situation.
Such is life.

I loved this publication.
I will never tire of repeating that the publications that have to do with natural elements such as climate, relief, vegetation, hydrology and others are among my favorites because of the relationship they have with my major, which is a degree in Geography.

Also, it makes a small but heartfelt mention to the importance of family, one of the greatest riches we have.

As for the images, I liked them very much because they reflect very well what you explain towards the end of your publication.
If you look closely at the clouds you show us we will realize that this gray represents a change of temperature towards cold or that it is not good weather.
Clouds tell us a lot about the type of weather we are going to have and this is an example. If the sky was blue and the clouds were white as cotton balls, it would be good weather.

As for the images of the mountains just say that they are beautiful.

Wow, I appreciate the way that you described my publication, and all of that you stated here has a ring of truth in my ears. For instance, I regard myself as a person that can read the weather very well, and many of my publications are about the weather.

I also have a great love for the mountains, as they teach me resilience, and nature harbors many lessons for us as humans.
