I really got lucky this morning…

…even though I am one of those that don’t believe in luck.

If you think that this is nice, then have a look at the second picture.

As usual I stepped out of the house early this morning to have a look at the day and the weather, and the first thing was that the moon greeted me. I heard the loud calls of some hadeda ibis birds approaching and the thought deigned upon me that maybe they would fly across the face of the moon. But no, as you saw, they crossed over just below the moon. There is such a thing that is called perseverance, and I have much of it, so I kept my eye on the moon. Then I heard the sound of an approaching plane, and as it came over, I lined it up. Bang! You can see the result below.

Ah! One of those rare shots that I told you about.

This one passed over just above the moon.

I zoomed it, and it was a Lufthansa plane.

Now this shot below, of the frilly clouds, told me that the big clouds will be arriving soon.

I forgot to do a post about the full moon, but this will have to do.

Truly I have to say that this doesn’t happen often, getting a plane on the moon, as for me it is a rare occurrence. I could for instance go to a local airfield when the moon is like this, and I can get a few planes on the moon, but that would be a setup, and I would much rather get the random shots of planes on the moon like this, as it is way more satisfying. The main purpose for me is to have fun, as I have a good camera, and I always try to show some extraordinary shots. Hive is also a fun place for me to blog my passions, as the bonus is that I can also raise funds to secure the future of the @papilloncharity and I don’t know of any other site that can offer the people and the engagements that take place on Hive.
Such is life.
