Full Blood moon eclipse.
On Sunday 7th of September, a total eclipse will take place in the evening.
The moon will turn red during the total eclipse, and we are waiting to see it, if only the clouds will stay away. The eclipse is timed over here, on the African continent, between 20:00 and 21:00 hours.
Let's see what Wikipedia has to say about the lunar eclipse.
A total lunar eclipse will occur at the Moon’s ascending node of orbit on Sunday, September 7, 2025, with an umbral magnitude of 1.3638. A lunar eclipse occurs when the Moon moves into the Earth's shadow, causing the Moon to be darkened. A total lunar eclipse occurs when the Moon's near side entirely passes into the Earth's umbral shadow. Unlike a solar eclipse, which can only be viewed from a relatively small area of the world, a lunar eclipse may be viewed from anywhere on the night side of Earth. A total lunar eclipse can last up to nearly two hours, while a total solar eclipse lasts only a few minutes at any given place, because the Moon's shadow is smaller.
So, let's play a bit with the moon and the clouds.
I so wished that the pair of birds up high in the picture would fly lower over the moon in the cloud, but no such luck.
I call the cloud below a hayfork cloud, and it was trying to spear the moon.
But, the hayfork could not catch the cloud.
Imagine what this would look like when its full and blood red.
I have posted a full moon many times, but this will be a first for me to see a total eclipse of what they call the full Blood Moon. Like I said above, I hope that the sky will be clear, as apparently during the eclipse, the sky all around it turns red. I might even have gotten a red blood moon before on the mountain peaks that I posted a long time ago, but I didn't know anything about it.
So maybe if you are around on the evening of the 7th of September (tomorrow), then you might also be able to see the total eclipse. Due to the mountains here, I have a good idea of the exact spot where the moon will start to clear the mountains and hopefully, I can get the big full red moon on a mountain peak, but if not, I will get that moon anywhere where it rises, as the lower the moon is, the bigger it is.
Let's see what happens, and hopefully I will not cry about any clouds covering the moon.
Such is life.
I hope you enjoyed the pictures and the story.

I just hope that we will have a clear sky.

Thank you :)
Wow, one of the kind that i really waiting for that is fullmoon eclipse and lunar eclipse. You took it perfectly the moon and clear to see. It's really fantastic.
I hope that you will also take photos of the lunar eclipse.
I'll add a few words to the topic. The full eclipse cycle will be visible from the longitudes of Central Asia; in European and African regions, the moon will appear above the horizon already partially eclipsed, but in the Americas, unfortunately, this phenomenon will not be possible to observe.
Very nice shots of the moon. I wish you a successful hunt for the blood moon tomorrow!
I am glad that you also found some information about it, and we are in in the African region. Southern Hemisphere.
Thank you, and like I said in other replies, we are hoping that the sky will be clear. (No clouds)
Wow, I wish I could’ve seen that Blood Moon in person also 😍
Maybe you will someday :)
Goos luck seeing and catching the eclipse it won't be visible here
Shame yeah, I saw that you guys in the northern hemisphere will not see it. We are only hoping that the clouds will stay away.

Thank you JJ, and have you seen a doctor about your hernia? I had one years ago, and I ignored it, until it dropped out of my stomach into the scrotum. I also battled to walk and had to have it removed.
Hernias are bad and painful news, and I hope that you will get your one sorted out.
