Activities in our local park.

This is a very big park, and various sports clubs also use the premises.

In the distance you can see some club houses, and there are also big cricket and soccer grounds.

There is also a baseball club, table tennis, squash courts, and a variety of other sporting events, taking place here. The reason that we visit the park, is that we planted a tree here in memory of our little dog Troy, as it is also a doggy park, and the dogs like to swim in the river. We also prefer to sit at a distant part of the grounds, as nature is important for our wellbeing. Another thing that we like is that all of the activities take place in designated areas, so as not to crowd the wide-open areas of the park.

So let me show you some of the activities on my camera zoom.

Some team members were warming up for a match.

Just a still scenario, and we could not hear anything, as they were far away.

Something else was also on the go, as you will see below.
073.JPG

Sadly, my zoom could not get any clear shots of their wheelies, but I think that you will get a fair idea of what was going on.

Try as I might to get a clear shot, the trees would not allow me to.

I told you that this was also a doggy park, and many animal lovers bring their dogs here to run around and have some fun.

And finally this below is at the other end of the park.

At times, we take some far slow strolls at the park, depending on the condition of my bad leg, and at other times, such as this day, my wife made some sandwiches for us to enjoy sitting on a bench in the park. To sit quietly, and to allow one's eyes and mind take in the surrounding nature, is almost like an energy drink for one's soul. During my younger years, I was fit and partook of many sports activities, but now in my old days all that I can do is to allow my memories to surface about those times. So, interesting now, as when I bend over fast to pick up an item on the floor, then I have to go to visit the back doctor :)
Nowadays I let my zoom do the walking, as it is so much cheaper than paying medical bills.
Such is life.

I hope you enjoyed the pictures and the story.

Oh yes, that is why we are fond of visiting the park, and it always draws a lot of special people, as you have seen in the photos. Better at the park, than in a shopping mall.

I agree, and I wouldn't call it "stolen" photo", as it legal to take photos in public view. But I know what you mean and that's why I call it random photos. !LOL

Great post, I loved it. The photos are magnificent, and the ones of the man on the motorcycle are also very good and give a very clear idea. I hope your leg improves; sometimes our health plays tricks on us. But enjoying an outdoor park is amazing. There's also one near my house where I play soccer; it's very similar in size. Thanks for this great story and the magnificent images.

Thank you and I watched the guys with the motorcycles for a while. Each of the riders had a turn to ride their own bikes on its back wheel, and they are all experts.
It is always good for one's health to be active outside, and in a park, it is so much better. Great that you are also active in a park.

I'm also a big motorcycle fan, and this post talks about parks, motorcycles, and soccer—many of the things I'm passionate about. I loved your post.
