A very unusual day.
We couldn't make our minds up on how this day would turn out.

Seagulls on their way home and let me show you how the day began.
The sky was blue and clear early morning, and we thought that we would go and have coffee at a local open air coffee shop. Big mistake, as within twenty minutes things started to change. A very strong wind started to shake the trees, so we decided to wait at home to see what the weather was doing. They say that we can have all four seasons in one day here, and you will see below what I mean.
Imagine that you gear up for a picnic at some dam in nature and then you encounter a day like this. Everything took place before 12 noon, and we had rain much later in the night. But I want you to have a look at the clouds, and to tell me if you would be able to figure out what to do on a day like this.
This little cloud below turned into a monster.
Don't believe me? Then have a look how it turned out.
And now? What was this?
That is the sun that you see in the center of the picture.
And these are the seagulls crossing below the sun, that I showed you in the first picture.
But whoa, now the sky started to clear again.
I spoke too soon, as the clouds started to gather again. I think that the chopper pilot also decided to rather go home:)
Just look at this below. How does one figure out a day like this?
I was hoping to get a sunset, but no go as the sky was covered with dark rain clouds. A funny thing happens to me nowadays when I walk around in the strong winds, as my left ear starts to ache. We bought a roll of cottonwool, and I roll little pieces of it to stick in my ear. Now I am not used to this, and the little piece in my ear starts to dangle like an earring when I walk around. I can now also no longer drive around with the car's window down, as somehow the wind keeps on attacking the ear.
I have tunnel-sized nostrils, but if you think that's funny then you must see my ears. The kids used to tease me by saying that somebody had left the garage doors open:) Only joking, but there has to be some truth in a joke like this. Far be it for me to say. The thing is, that I cannot sit at home for long periods, as I have always been an outside person, and nature is my comfortable place to be. I try my best to avoid meetings, as they are normally just blah, blah talk with no action. But in our work at the Papillon Foundation, meetings simply have to be attended. The good news is that our annual report to the Government was once again accepted, and they are happy with Papillon.
Such is life.
I hope you enjoyed the pictures and the story.
