A real golden sunset.

We were caught by surprise when we saw this.

We were at a meeting in a different part of the town that does not have a view of the mountains and so imagine our surprise when we turned into our road on our way back and we caught a glimpse of this. There was no way that I could get closer to the mountains, and I took the shots at an open piece of ground with a view of the mountains near our home. Oh yes, the temptation was strong to drive the 6km's to get close to the mountains, but I knew that within 2km's the show would be over, as the sun was close to the horizon. And so, I took what I could get.

The late sun covered a golden strip over the mountain peaks.

Even the top of the valley was on show.

I think the heat in the mountain peaks tried to cook the clouds here below.

Did I tell you that the show would be over soon?

You can see that the clouds were waning fast, and this was all that I could get.

Regrets are a terrible poison to our minds, as I regretted about not leaving the meeting earlier and getting a ton of photos right close to the mountains. But then, I cleared my mind of any regrets simply because things turned out the way they were meant to turn out. Nothing that I could do about it, and then nothing to worry about.

By the way, I don't know about you, but I have had a long life thus far by grace, and trucks full of regrets. One cannot change the unchangeable, especially regrets from the past, but one can certainly learn the lessons. It is what we do today that improves our tomorrows. The past belongs in the past, and we need to build ourselves up for the future.
Such is life.

I hope you enjoyed the pictures and the story.
