A message of serenity.

Our wish is for everyone to have a peaceful and a great new week.

A dove is a symbol of peace, and we so desperately need it now.

This world is in turmoil, not only weather-wise but also war-wise. The latter is a bit more dangerous as recently the US bombed terrorist bases in Iraq and the Middle East is very restless. Soon, they will start to seek revenge and the talk is that the other middle eastern countries will join, so things can only get worse. Then, we of course also have the Israel and Palestinian situation, and the Ukraine and Russia war. The north of Africa also sees many wars and chaos is at the order of the day. So, if you add North Korea and China, then we have a potent brew for World War III.

It is at these times, that the dove can instill a sense of peace within us all.

And finally, the day is near its ending and we can rest with peace in our hearts.

War and peace, we were created for the latter, but greed and a host of other reasons has changed us to desire more and more. Some say it will lead to a better future, for the future generations, but I don't believe in this as what are we teaching them? If someone doesn't give you what you want, then you simply attack them? Hundreds of poems and songs about peace are written to this day, and I remember one song that I liked Give peace a chance.

In the 60's John Lennon also wrote a beautiful song called Imagine and it is all to do with peace, as it is known that peace can change the world. But then you have the despots that are determined to get what they want, by force, and so many people have to die for their wishes. Normally, it's the women and children that suffer the most during these times of madness. Young boys are indoctrined to go and kill for a cause and so many of these young boys also die.
So, we say, that giving peace a chance is so much better than the suffering of war.
Such is life.

I hope you have enjoyed the story and the pictures.

A great combination: a bird, the rays of the sun and the top of the roof.

Nature can be violent, but people choose to be so. There are people who could stop the wars, but they opt to let others keep dying. We all share this planet and are not really so different. We should learn to get along.

You are right and it's always the choices that we make that matters. History shows us the terrible consequences of making the wrong choices, but mankind's greed knows no limits.

Thank you. I love to play with the sun rays and the added dove just added some life to the photos.
