LOH Contest #255: My Dream House 【 🇪🇸 - 🇺🇸 】

  Este post quise titularlo La Casa de Mis Sueños porque una de las preguntas te plantea la idea de adquirir tu propia casa pero solo tienes 2 opciones a elegir. Mejor planteo la pregunta para que me entiendan mejor:

Has ganado el dinero para comprar una casa y tienes dos opciones. La primera es una casa grande y hermosa, pero cuyas mejores épocas ya pasaron. Necesita muchas reparaciones y remodelaciones, por lo que su precio es bajo. La segunda opción es una casa pequeña. No es tan bonita como la anterior, pero no tienes que invertir tiempo ni dinero en reparaciones, así que su precio es mucho más alto. ¿Qué eliges? ¿Eres del equipo de "reparar a mi gusto" o del equipo de "comprar todo listo y rápido"?

  I wanted to title this post My Dream Home because one of the questions asks you about buying your own home, but you only have two options. I'd better frame the question so you can understand me better:

  You've earned the money to buy a house, and you have two options. The first is a big, beautiful house, but one whose best years are behind it. It needs a lot of repairs and remodeling, and therefore, its price is low. The second option is a small house. It's not as beautiful as the previous one, but you don't have to invest time or money in repairs, so its price is much higher than the previous one. What do you choose? Are you on the "repair to my liking" team or the "buy everything ready and fast" team?

  Como lo pueden notar por mi foto de perfil y las demás fotos que he colocado en mi post, la respuesta a esa pregunta es más que obvia. Me inclino por Comprar Todo Listo y Rápido. Lamentablemente no me considero del team remodelar a tu gusto porque es algo que da mucho trabajo y carezco de experiencia para reparar cosas.

  Además, prefiero que todo esté nuevo, así que si tengo que hacer un gasto de esa magnitud, deberá valer la pena y tendría que ser una casa pequeña y acogedora, que se sienta especial y sobre todo me de la comodidad que estoy buscando.

  As you can see from my profile picture and the other photos I've posted in my post, the answer to that question is more than obvious. I'm leaning toward Buy Everything Ready and Fast. Unfortunately, I don't consider myself part of the remodel-to-your-taste team because it's a lot of work, and I lack experience in repairing things.

  Also, I prefer everything to be new, so if I have to spend that much, it has to be worth it, and it would have to be a small, cozy house that feels special and, above all, gives me the comfort I'm looking for.

  Otra razón por la cual elijo la segunda opción es porque vivo con mis padres. Somos 3 personas en una casa bastante grande para nosotros. En parte es cómoda por su amplio espacio, pero lleva mucho tiempo limpiarla y mantenerla a lo largo de los años.

  Así que los cuartos que no se usan más, se tienen para guardar cosas. Y es increíble ver la cantidad de cosas que uno va acumulando con los años. Esto me ha hecho querer desear tener algo más pequeño y salir de un montón de cosas viejas que están guardadas porque se planeaban volver a usar en un futuro o porque se dañaron y se pensaba reparar en algún momento.

  Another reason I chose the second option is that I live with my parents. We're three people in a house that's pretty big for us. It's partly comfortable because of its large space, but it takes a lot of time to clean and maintain over the years.

  So the rooms that aren't used anymore are used for storage. And it's incredible to see the amount of stuff one accumulates over the years. This has made me want to have something smaller and get rid of a pile of old stuff that's been stored away because it was planned to be used again in the future, or because it was damaged and planned to be repaired at some point.

  Hasta el día de hoy ninguna de esas cosas guardadas se han reparado o se han vuelto a usar, sólo están allí agarrando polvo y calor. Así que, tomando en cuenta la primera pregunta planteada por @irenenavarroart, respondería sin pensarlo tanto la segunda opción de manera definitiva.

  Además si es una casa remolque resultaría bastante interesante ya que podría ir a donde quiera y quedarme el tiempo que quiera en ese lugar. Así podría conocer el mundo y nuevas personas. Sería bastante divertido.

  To this day, none of those stored things have been repaired or reused; they just sit there gathering dust and heat. So, taking into account the first question posed by @irenenavarroart, I would definitely answer the second option without hesitation.

  Also, if it's a camper trailer, it would be quite interesting since I could go wherever I want and stay there as long as I want. That way, I could see the world and meet new people. It would be quite fun.

  Y aunque la casa sea pequeña, el requisito mínimo que pido es que haya un jardín amplio o al menos un parque cerca para sacar a pasear a mis perros. También debe tener un espacio suficiente en el interior de la casa donde ellos se sientan cómodos.

  No puedo creer que sólo estaba pensando en mis gustos y dejé de lado a mis peludos. Es por ello que el cuarto principal de esta mini casa debe ser grande porque aunque mis nenés de 4 patas tengan su espacio para dormir, estoy segura de que dormirán los 3 conmigo en la cama acaparando casi todo el espacio.

  And even if the house is small, the minimum requirement I ask for is a large yard or at least a park nearby where I can walk my dogs. There must also be enough space inside the house for them to feel comfortable.

  I can't believe I was only thinking about my own tastes and left my furry friends aside. That's why the main room of this tiny house has to be large, because even though my four-legged friends have their own space to sleep, I'm sure all three of them will sleep with me in the bed, taking up almost all the space.

  La segunda pregunta no sé si responderla porque como no soy madre ni tampoco docente, sólo trabajo como asesor académico y tengo contacto con los estudiantes técnicamente en los meses en los que tienen clase, del resto nada. Así que de prepararme, sería para trabajar más y organizarme mejor para cubrir mis demandas. ¡Ahora sí, hasta una próxima vez! ¡Saludos!🌸

  I don't know if I should answer the second question because, since I'm neither a mother nor a teacher, I only work as an academic advisor and have contact with students technically during the months they have classes; nothing else. So, if I'm preparing, I'd rather work harder and organize myself better to meet my demands. Now, until next time! Cheers! 🌸
