Lazarus: Is it Worth Whatching? (🇪🇸 | 🇺🇸)

Tiempo sin compartir con ustedes, y es que se han presentado situaciones ajenas a mi voluntad que me ha impedido ser constante para traerles mis reseñas, sin embargo hoy estoy de nuevo por aquí para hablarles de un nuevo lanzamiento que apenas lleva si no me equivoco de 4 a 5 episodios. Se trata de Lazarus y aunque apenas está en emisión, voy a comentarles mis primeras impresiones de la misma sin hacerles spoilers.

  Bien, esta serie decidí darle una oportunidad por su anuncio, es decir, me intrigaron con la trama cuando vi la propaganda, también me dio curiosidad al ver que pertenecía al equipo de HBO en su espacio Adult Swim. Así que cuando tuve la primera oportunidad de verla, no lo dude mucho y de entrada me vi los primeros 3 episodios.

  Sin embargo esta serie lamentablemente no me termina de cuadrar ni mucho menos me ha enganchado como tal para entusiasmarme a seguirla viendo. Es decir, el primer capítulo para mí fue algo decepcionante, el segundo estuvo a medias y en el tercero me quedé dormida y no fue por cansancio.

  La serie como tal no resultó ser lo que esperaba. Es decir, para explicarles mejor esta parte debo contarles un poco de qué va la serie. El tema principal gira en torno a la búsqueda de un científico que ayudo a curar a la humanidad con una especie de medicina naturista. Sin embargo, él desaparece sin dejar rastro de la noche a la mañana y antes de hacerlo deja un mensaje para que se comparta a nivel mundial por todas las televisoras.

  Su último mensaje emitido dice que todas las personas que consumieron su medicamento, lamentablemente van a morir en un lapso de 30 días porque descubrió que dicho compuesto tenía efectos secundarios a largo plazo, sin embargo él por su cuenta descubrió un antídoto y el que quiera vivir, debe encontrarlo antes de que transcurran los 30 días.

  Entonces se podría decir que la serie es una carrera contra el reloj, por lo que el gobierno o una entidad gubernamental se ve obligado a reunir a un equipo especial de búsqueda para encontrar a este famoso médico, que no sólo se especializa en la salud sino que también tiene conocimientos de programación, sistema e internet.

  Cabe destacar que la serie está en una especie de años futuros con tecnología avanzada pero no tanto, sino que está en progreso. Y bueno, a pesar de que se insiste en reunir a cierto equipo de trabajo, conformado en total por 5 personajes, la serie en sus tres primeros episodios me dio a entender que hay un solo protagonista, básicamente Axel quien aparece en casi todas las fotos de este post.

  Y bueno, se supone que este grupo de cinco individuos, se reune en sí por estar obligados a hacerlo, es decir, cada uno de ellos ha cometido crímenes de alta magnitud y esta sería una forma de expiar sus años de condena.

  Básicamente esto fue lo que me generó tanta decepción de la serie, este pequeño gran detalle porque fue como ver una copia exacta de Escuadrón Suicida, sólo que sin superpoderes y en esta ocasión el protagonista en vez de ser una chica (Harley Quinn), es un hombre que hace parkour.

  Al ver esto, la serie se me hizo bastante predecible y más de lo mismo. La verdad esperaba mucho de ella y más por pertenecer a la gran empresa de HBO que suele tener muy buena reputación con sus series y películas.

  Por ahora y lo que he visto de Lazarus, no me ha agradado y no sé si la termine de ver. Sin embargo creo que al final terminaré dándole una oportunidad cuando tenga todos sus capítulos emitidos, y esto sólo tomando en cuenta el hecho de que pertenece a HBO y uno de sus directores es el que ha hecho la saga de John Wick de la cual soy fan. Por lo que dejo abierta la idea de hacer otra reseña luego de verla completa. De mi parte y por ahora, le otorgo a la serie:

Greetings, my favorite Otakus from @theanimerealm. It's been a while since I've shared with you, and situations beyond my control have prevented me from consistently bringing you my reviews. However, today, I'm here again to tell you about a new release that has only been out for four to five episodes, if I'm not mistaken. It is about Lazarus and even though it's barely on the air, I'm going to tell you my first impressions of it without spoilers.

Well, this series I decided to give it a chance because of its advertisement, I mean, I was intrigued with the plot when I saw the blurb, I was also curious to see that it belonged to the HBO team in their Adult Swim space. So when I had the first opportunity to watch it, I didn't hesitate much and I watched the first 3 episodes.

Unfortunately, this series doesn't quite fit me, nor has it hooked me enough to get me excited to continue watching it. The first chapter was somewhat disappointing, the second was half-hearted, and in the third, I fell asleep, and it wasn't because I was tired.

The series as such did not turn out to be what I expected. I mean, to better explain this part, I should tell you a little bit about what the series is about. The main theme revolves around the search for a scientist who helped cure mankind with a kind of naturopathic medicine. However, he disappears without a trace overnight, and before doing so, he leaves a message to be shared worldwide by all TV stations.

His last message issued says that all the people who consumed his drug will unfortunately die within 30 days because he discovered that the compound had long-term side effects, however, he single-handedly discovered an antidote, and whoever wants to live must find him before the 30 days are up.

So you could say that the series is a race against the clock, so the government or a government entity is forced to assemble a special search team to find this famous doctor, who not only specializes in health but also has programming, systems, and internet knowledge.

It should be noted that the series is in a kind of future years with advanced technology, but not so much, and it is in progress. And well, despite insisting on gathering a certain work team, composed in total by 5 characters, the series in its first three episodes gave me to understand that there is only one protagonist, basically Axel, who appears in almost all the pictures in this post.

And well, it is assumed that this group of five individuals, gathered in itself because they are forced to do so, that is, each of them has committed crimes of high magnitude, and this would be a way to atone for their years of conviction.

This was what generated so much disappointment in the series, this little big detail, because it was like watching an exact copy of Suicide Squad, only without superpowers, and this time the protagonist, instead of being a girl (Harley Quinn), is a man who does parkour.

When I saw this, the series was quite predictable and more of the same. The truth is that I expected a lot from it and more because it belongs to the great company HBO, which usually has a very good reputation with its series and movies.

For now and what I've seen of Lazarus, I haven't liked it, and I don't know if I'll finish watching it. However, I think that in the end I will end up giving it a chance when I have all its chapters broadcasted, and this only taking into account the fact that it belongs to HBO and one of its directors is the one who has made the John Wick saga of which I am a fan.
