Cloud Iridescence In The Sky

Seeing a rainbow in the sky after rain is common, but yesterday I saw a rainbow behind the clouds on a sunny day. That was one of my lucky moments this week! It was the first time I had witnessed clouds iridescence in the sky with my own eyes. They weren't as big as the ones I had seen online, but they were still amazing.

At first, I was just enjoying the bright sunshine as dusk approached, then the sun slowly disappeared behind the clouds. Soon afterwards, I saw colours appearing at the edge of the clouds, such as green and red. Gradually, more colours appeared as the clouds moved away.

I realised at that moment that I was witnessing the phenomenon of clouds iridescence in the beautiful afternoon sky.
The colours that I usually see after it rains were visible even though the sky was so bright. As I watched, the diffracted light continued to appear and change shape until the sky began to darken.
