Hola querido hiver.

Con esta publicación termino el repaso a las exposiciones que pude disfrutar en mi pasada visita al museo CaixaForum de mi ciudad. Te invito a que visites mis anteriores post relacionados, aquí te dejo los enlaces:

Cierro hoy la trilogía con imágenes e impresiones de la exposición Cine y Moda, coorganizada entre CaixaForum y La Cinémathèque française y en la que el propio Jean Paul Gautier es el director artístico además de cocomisario.

Comenzamos el recorrido en una sala circular que deja ver entre cortinas algunas piezas que explican el origen de la atracción del diseñador francés por la corsetería y por las figuras andróginas.

Mis ojos se posaron de inmediato sobre esta maravilla, pues lo he visto cientos de veces en televisión: el famoso y transgresor corsé dorado que Madonna lucía en su gira mundial Blond Ambition del año 1990.

Esta falda es muy curiosa, pues de cerca no te das cuenta del rostro que aparece solo cuando te alejas. Es la actriz, cantante y modelo francesa Arletty.

En el siguiente apartado nos encontramos con una sección dedicada a personajes con tintes heroicos y aventureros. En este caso, es el traje real que utilizó Antonio Banderas en El zorro, excepto las botas (y no son las del gato, jeje).

Aparte de participar en el diseño de vestuarios, Gautier también se inspiró en la estética de películas para sus modelos, como este ejemplo que recuerda a Mad Max.

Si te vienen a la mente los Masters del Universo, has acertado.

Otra pieza que me impactó encontrar: la ropa original que vestía Sharon Stone en el cruce de piernas más famoso del mundo.

La creatividad de Jean Paul Gautier mezcla géneros, estilos y referencias en una amalgama que confunde y sorprende, lo que es seguro es que no deja indiferente.

Algo similar sucede con el director español Pedro Almodóvar, con quien trabajó en algunas de sus películas más conocidas.

Eso le llevó a incorporar claras referencias a elementos de la moda española como reducidas batas de cola formadas por abanicos.

O abanicos de proporciones gigantescas y usados como prendas masculinas a modo de extraños corpiños.

En la muestra hay sitio también para la moda que se llevaba cuando Jean Paul Gautier comenzó a diseñar. Piezas sencillas de cortes rectos con líneas y colores básicos.

La sencillez del diseñador francés es, digamos... diferente.

Esta torera de plástico transparente era preciosa.

Estos vestidos han sido llevados por famosas actrices españolas, como Ana Belén o Elena Anaya.

La última sala se transforma en una pasarela de moda, en la que podemos admirar otros icónicos modelos, tanto suyos como de otros modistos.

Y, como todo desfile de moda, el colofón es un espectacular vestido de novia. La cola se alargaba por detrás del tabique por lo menos otros 8-10 metros y se podía caminar por debajo de ella.

Por supuesto, la novia no podía dejar de sorprender. Mira su barriga. Provocación de la casa.

Y hablando de casa, me tocó marchar para la mía porque llegó la hora de cierre del museo. Me habría deleitado por un buen rato más, pero no se pudo. Además, que llevaba mis otras dos exposiciones a la espalda. Había que digerir con calma tanto estímulo.

Today I close the trilogy with images and impressions of the exhibition Cinema and Fashion, co-organised by CaixaForum and La Cinémathèque française and in which Jean Paul Gautier himself is the artistic director as well as co-curator.

We began the tour in a circular room that reveals between curtains some pieces that explain the origin of the French designer's attraction to corsetry and androgynous figures.

My eyes immediately fell on this marvel, as I have seen it hundreds of times on television: the famous and transgressive golden corset that Madonna wore on her 1990 Blond Ambition world tour.

This skirt is very curious, because up close you don't notice the face that appears only when you move away. It is the French actress, singer and model Arletty.

In the next section we find a section dedicated to heroic and adventurous characters. In this case, it is the real costume used by Antonio Banderas in El zorro, except for the boots (and they are not the cat's boots, hehe).

Apart from participating in the costume design, Gautier was also inspired by the aesthetics of films for his models, like this example reminiscent of Mad Max.

If Masters of the Universe comes to mind, you've got it right.

Another piece I was shocked to find: the original clothes worn by Sharon Stone in the world's most famous leg cross.

Jean Paul Gautier's creativity mixes genres, styles and references in an amalgam that confuses and surprises, what is certain is that it does not leave you indifferent.

Something similar happens with the Spanish director Pedro Almodóvar, with whom he worked on some of his best-known films.

That led him to incorporate clear references to elements of Spanish fashion such as reduced tailed gowns formed by fans.

Or fans of gigantic proportions and used as masculine garments in the manner of strange bodices.

There is also room in the exhibition for the fashion worn when Jean Paul Gautier started designing. Simple, straight-cut pieces with basic lines and colours.

The French designer's simplicity is, shall we say... different.

This transparent plastic t-shirt was beautiful.

These dresses have been worn by famous Spanish actresses, like Ana Belén or Elena Anaya.

The last room is transformed into a fashion catwalk, where we can admire other iconic models, both him and other couturiers'.

And, like any fashion show, the climax is a spectacular wedding dress. The train extended behind the septum for at least another 8-10 metres and you could walk underneath it.

Of course, the bride could not fail to surprise. Look at her belly. Provocation of the house.

And speaking of home, I had to leave for mine because it was closing time for the museum. I would have enjoyed myself for a while longer, but I couldn't. Besides, I had my other two exhibitions with me. Besides, I had my other two exhibitions on my back. So much stimulus had to be digested calmly.
