Son las 4:15 de la mañana y si bien normalmente me despierto a las 5, esta vez creo que me despertó el silencio. Si bien las informaciones dicen que el aeropuerto está funcionando con normalidad, no escuché despegar ningún avión. Normalmente, los días viernes existe mucho ruido en la calle, desde chicos que se quedan en las veredas tomando y charlando, personas que van y vienen en sus motocicletas y por supuesto automóviles por doquier. Pero hoy, el silencio se adueñó de nuestra cotidianidad. ¿Qué pasó? De repente un déjà vu de aquellos años donde estuvimos encerrados por mucho tiempo. El silencio predomina el ambiente, incertidumbre y las informaciones que no llegan. Por supuesto que las redes sociales están plagadas de informaciones reales y algunas ficticias.

      Mientras preparada mi bicicleta para realizar un fondo bien temprano, escucho un temblor en el techo. Casualmente, @zutodoterreno estaba saliendo para asistir a su clase de Pol Sport y los chicos estaban ordenando sus habitaciones. No le di mucha importancia porque normalmente los gatos suelen hacer ese tipo de ruidos en el techo. Sinceramente, no pasaron 5 minutos y ya en los grupos de WhatsApp corría información de una explosión en Ezeiza. Increíble el poder de las redes sociales. Susto, miedo y mucha incertidumbre se generó en ese momento. El Polo industrial en Spegazzini en Ezeiza está distante aproximadamente 15 km de casa y el cimbronazo se sintió. Conozco el lugar porque es un espacio donde habitan muchas empresas y por supuesto ideal para hacer deporte por sus adyacencias. No llenaré de mucho más dato de lo acontecido, ya que en la web 2 existen por doquier.

      El sonido de las sirenas de los bomberos, tanto de Ezeiza como de municipios aledaños que se acercaban a brindar apoyo, duró por mucho tiempo. La columna de humo que aparentemente es muy tóxico se veía desde cualquier lado. Y esa información es la que más nos amedrentó. Los audios en los grupos de WhatsApp de los familiares que trabajan en dicha empresa, decían que nos encerremos y que cerremos todas las ventanas y aberturas de nuestras casas, porque los gases son altamente tóxicos. Esa fue la tarea que nos pusimos a realizar en nuestro domicilio y gracias al universo la energía eléctrica no se fue. Por supuesto, que al momento que escribo estas líneas, no tengo información fehaciente de heridos, accidentes fatales, y datos más precisos de lo acontecido. Otra información que corría y que generaba mucha angustia, era la alerta roja del sistema sanitario del municipio.

      Gracias a Dios, nuestro núcleo familiar, amigos y vecinos nos encontramos bien. El único problema para nuestra familia, es que ayer no hicimos las compras pertinentes y hoy no sé si podremos salir. Pero más allá de eso, estos acontecimientos me hacen reflexionar. Tantas cosas para decir y lo que más me hace ruido en el cerebro, es ser consciente de lo finito que somos. Después podemos hablar de la seguridad industrial, los protocolos de prevención que tienen estas plantas, sí se realizan las inspecciones pertinentes, qué onda con las regulaciones, si tenemos algún sistema de emergencia, tanto en los hospitales como en defensa civil, de manera de soportar la magnitud de estos siniestros. Puede existir una empresa de esta magnitud inmersa en la ciudad. Si bien es un polo industrial, donde solo hay grandes empresas, pero está próximo a barrios donde habitan personas comunes, como vos o como yo.
También pienso, dónde irán a parar esos gases. El impacto ambiental que se genera. Ayer, nos pasó a nosotros y quizás estos aconteceres son más comunes en el mundo y uno muchas veces ni se entera, a pesar de que vivimos en un mundo tan comunicado supuestamente. Particularmente creo que se deberá investigar bien el fondo de las causas de la explosión. Es decir, si fue una falla técnica, negligencia, accidente o lo que fuere. Esperemos que las informaciones fehacientes lleguen y si los daños colaterales persistirán para los vecinos de nuestra comuna. Creo que es muy importante el rol de los medios y por supuesto del gobierno local para mantener a la comunidad informada con datos claros y confiables.
Gracias al universo, estamos todos bien y esperemos que sea simplemente una experiencia fortuita. Estar encerrado, en silencio y con incertidumbre de qué pasará, no es recomendable para nadie.

Quería contarles mi percepción de lo acontecido y por supuesto invitarles a que seamos más conscientes de nuestra finitud y que abracemos a nuestros seres queridos todos los días, porque nunca se sabe, qué sucederá en el segundo posterior.

Thank goodness, we are all safe, and let's hope it was simply a freak accident. Being confined, in silence, and uncertain about what will happen is not advisable for anyone.
