Hello, dear friends! Shall we open a new front of work?

I've been following the #CleanPlanet community posts for some time, but had not organized myself to participate yet, the community requires some very specific things in its posts, like timestamps in photos and other details.

Thus, my trip to Rio de Janeiro and a habit I have of collecting debris in the water to put in the trash can, inspired me to produce this post, which will hopefully be the first of many.

After enjoying the icy and delightful waters of Flamengo Beach, I collected the plastic garbage - and others - that appeared around me.

The beach is located in Guanabara Bay, so the waters are very calm, almost like a lake. It is relatively easy to collect the trash that is a bit beyond the waves breaking on the shore.

From my cleaning activity in the sea, I collected a plastic cup full of garbage, let's check what we found:

I spread all the garbage to show you, small and large items:

Packaging remains, from filled biscuits, mineral water, candies, ripped points of packaging, popsicles, bottle caps... We can get some companies' attention there, right? So they can run environmental responsibility campaigns together with their consumers:

Plastic cups, nylon threads, the famous plastic straws, bag remains, candy papers, and even a cigarette butt. I just didn’t find aluminum cans or glass bottles!

I had the separated trash ready to take it to the trash when I left, but the beach cleaning service came by earlier. I had to quickly take the photo below to comply with the #CleanPlanet agreements:

The cleaning friends collected my trash and another lot that had already been separated by the sand sweeping crew, and they moved on...

By the time I was leaving, other small items appeared on the beach shore. I collected them all and put them in a trash can that the cleaning friends had left near where I was:

On the way back, leaving the beach, this coca-cola bottle appeared:

I found the cleaning friends further ahead almost at the end of the beach:

I discarded that bottle, and went my way:

The cleaning friends continued their ant-like work, collecting small trash along the beach shore:

It was a wonderful experience. I felt very satisfied to have helped clean the beach because from in the water there is no service, the trash floats right in the area of the swimmers and bathers...

Limpando a Praia do Flamengo, Rio de Janeiro/RJ, Brasil (My Clean Planet Activities, 12/03/2025)

Salve, simpatias! Bora abrir uma nova frente de trabalho?

Já faz algum tempo que venho acompanhando os posts da comunidade #CleanPlanet, mas ainda não tinha me organizado pra participar, a comunidade pede algumas coisas bem específicas nos seus posts, como timestamp nas fotos e outros detalhes.

Daí, minha vinda ao Rio de Janeiro e uma prática que tenho costume, de recolher resíduos na água pra por na lixeira, me estimularam a produzir este post, que seja o primeiro de muitos.

Depois de me divertir nas gélidas e deliciosas águas da Praia do Flamengo, recolhi o lixo plástico - e outros - que apareceram ao meu redor.

A praia fica na Baiá de Guanabara, então as águas são muito tranquilas, quase um lago, é relativamente simples recolher o lixo que fica um pouco depois da rebentação das ondas na beira da praia.

Do minha atividade de limpeza no mar, recolhi um copo plástico cheio de lixo, vamos verificar o que encontramos:

Espalhei todo o lixo pra mostrar para vocês, pequenas e grandes coisas:

Restos de embalagens, de biscoito recheado, água mineral, balas, pontinhas rasgadas de embalagens, picolé, tampinhas de garrafa... Dá pra chamar a atenção de várias empresas aí, né não, para que façam campanhas de responsabilidade ambiental junto aos seus consumidores:

Copos plásticos, fios de nylon, os famosos canudos plásticos, restos de sacolas, papel de bala e até uma bituca de cigarro. Só não encontrei latas de alumínio e garrafas de vidro!

Eu estava com o lixo separado pra levar para a lixeira quando fosse embora, mas o serviço de limpeza da praia passou antes, precisei tirar rápido a foto abaixo, pra cumprir com os acordos da #CleanPlanet:

Os amigos da limpeza recolheram meu lixo e outro tanto que já havia sido separado pela turma que "varre a areia" da prais, e seguiram viagem...

Até a hora de ir embora, apareceram outras miudezas na beira da praia, recolhi todas e coloquei numa lixeira que os amigos da limpeza deixaram próximo de onde eu estava:

Na caminhada de volta, indo embora da praia, ainda apreceu essa garrafinha de coca-cola:

Encontrei os amigos da limpeza mais adiante quase no fim da praia:

Descartei mais aquela garrafinha, e tomei meu rumo:

Os amigos da limpeza seguiram no trabalho de formiguinha, recolhendo pequenos lixos na beira da praia:

Foi uma experiência formidável, me senti muito satisfeito em ter ajudado na limpeza da praia, pois de dentro d'água não há nenhum serviço, o lixo fica boiando bem na zona dos banhistas e nadadores...
