My Self Publishing...

Oggi scriverò qualcosa di molto leggero... Parliamo un po' di uno dei miei metodi di guadagno!

Metodo che ho ripreso in mano da pochissimo e che sto approfondendo visti dei segnali positivi inaspettati, o meglio, segnali che avevo sottovalutato non controllando spesso la situazione.

Parlo del Self Publishing!

In realtà stanotte, mentre ero a letto, mi sono lanciato in una riflessione profonda su quello che sono stati questi venti mesi, ho bisogno però di tempo e concentrazione per portarla dalla mia mente alle pagine del blog...Pertanto mi prenderò qualche giorno.

Torniamo a noi!

Devi sapere che in passato, ma anche recentemente, ho pubblicato una serie di libri come autore indipendente su Amazon KDP.

Alcuni sono libri di contenuto, altri sono invece dei "Low ContentE e poi ci sono quelli che definirei dei manualetti di non più di 50 pagine.

Questi ultimi tendo a pubblicarli per provare a sfruttare KDP Selection che permette agli utenti abbonati di leggere i libri gratuitamente, gli autori guadagnano per ogni pagina letta; va da se che bisogna aderire al piano KDP e questo porta come conseguenza che gli abbonati piuttosto che acquistare il libro lo leggeranno in formato kindle... Poco male, per me che pubblico è comunque tutta ciccia!

Prima di farti una veloce carrellata, correlata da immagini, delle mie pubblicazioni, vediamo quanto ho guadagnato; di seguito puoi vedere una delle pagine di pagamento delle royalty...

Ho fatto i conti e in totale ho guadagnato da quando ho pubblicato il primo libro €345,80... Non malissimo!

Considera che ci ho investito davvero pochissimo tempo e, per tanti mesi è stato davvero come ricevere una rendita passiva.

Questi risultati mi hanno portato a rivalutare la situazione e a inserire questo come uno dei miei metodi di guadagno primari; metodo che si va ad affiancare al mio lavoro classico, al poker e agli investimenti (questi diciamo che porteranno guadagni sul lungo periodo).

Ho deciso di provare a pubblicare almeno un paio di libri al mese, naturalmente parliamo per la gran parte di agende di vario tipo o libri per colorare... In ogni caso libri praticamente senza contenuto.

Ovvio poi che pubblicherò anche qualcosa di contenuto... Non posso certo ignorare la mia passione per la scrittura e il sacro fuoco che arde, no?

Veniamo ora alla mia libreria!

Questo è stato il primo libro da me pubblicato...

Scritto esclusivamente in inglese, tratta l'argomento della compravendita di case prettamente per il mercato americano; la versione cartacea costa $13,89 mentre il Kindle è venduto a $2,99 dollari.
Questa pubblicazione ha venduto qualche copia all'inizio e, nell'ultimo mese, sembra stia destando nuovo interesse essendo stata acquistata da più persone.

Quello che vedi qui è un libretto informativo su Hive...

Ebbene si ho scritto questo manuale in cui è spiegato tutto ciò che serve sapere per iniziare; il manuale è stato pubblicato nel 2023 sia in italiano che in inglese, purtroppo non ha venduto alcuna copia e non ha destato praticamente alcun interesse.

Passiamo ora a qualcosa che non ha contenuto...

Quello che vedi è un quaderno pentagrammato, di questi ne ho una serie, sono venduti tutti a circa 5 euro se hanno la copertina classica, quelli con la copertina rigida a 12 euro.

Di seguito un collage con tutte le copertine dei quaderni pentagrammati da me realizzati, potete vedere le versioni italiane ma, per ognuno, sono disponibili varie lingue (anche perché l'unico testo da cambiare era quello in copertina, lol!)...

Qualche copia di questi è stata venduta.

Passiamo ora al mio ricettario...

Pubblicato solo per il mercato americano (anche se è in vendita in tutti i marketplace è solo in lingua inglese) viene venduto sia con copertina flessibile che rigida, nel primo caso a un costo di $12 e nel secondo a $19,76; di questo purtroppo non ho venduto nemmeno una copia, ho intenzione però di rivederlo cambiando la copertina e provando a spingerlo un po' con le Ads.

Questo invece è un libricino che ho pubblicato come semplice esperimento...

Non ha venduto nulla però è stato letto più di una volta da utenti che sfruttavano l'abbonamento a KDP.
È scritto in italiano ed è stato pubblicato nel 2018.

Qui abbiamo un libro che contiene semplicemente delle schede di controllo temperatura...

Di questi ne ho venduti zero, ma in realtà è un libro civetta.

Qui invece puoi vedere il registro con le schede di monitoraggio HACCP...

Questo è il libro che mi ha fatto guadagnare di più, mensilmente si vendono sempre almeno una decina di copie.
Recentemente ho rivisto la copertina e sistemato gli interni.

Quelli che vedrai di seguito sono invece dei libri che il contenuto lo hanno e sono quelli che mi hanno richiesto un po' più di tempo e impegno per vedere la luce, eh eh!

Il primo è un libro di Fiabe della buonanotte...

Di questo ho venduto un bel po' di copie in fase di lancio (anche se essendo copie gratuite credo che dire "venduto" sia una parola grossa, eh eh!); attualmente sto guadagnando qualcosa sfruttando il piano KDP visto che ci sono persone che lo stanno leggendo.

Questo che vedi invece è un libro che tratta di crescita personale e sviluppo di se stessi...

Ha richiesto un bel po' di impegno ma praticamente non ha venduto nulla se si eccettuano le copie gratuite distribuite in fase di lancio; qualcuno ha letto qualche pagina ma nulla di più.

Siamo quasi giunti alla conclusione, qui puoi vedere un libricino di appena 50 pagine...

Secondo me il contenuto è simpatico e può rivelarsi utile; l'ho pubblicato senza troppe velleità di vendita infatti è realizzato solo in formato Kindle e ha portato qualche cents di guadagno attraverso la lettura delle pagine.

Dulcis in fundo la mia ultima fatica!

In questo libro parliamo di poker, attualmente è ancora in fase di lancio e la versione Kindle si può prendere gratuitamente; in seguito proverò a spingerlo con qualche Ads.

Bene a questo punto potrei concludere, prima però Ti parlo dei piani per il futuro prossimo.
Ho intenzione di pubblicare sicuramente altri due libri di fiabe per bambini; per quello che riguarda i libri senza contenuto desidero mettere sul mercato dei libri da colorare e un paio di logbook (sono quei libricini che si usano per le checklist, ad esempio quelli da portare in palestra oppure quelli per la lista della spesa).

Tutti questi nuovi contenuti saranno pubblicati sia per il mercato italiano che per quello internazionale, di conseguenza ci sarà sia la versione italiana che quella in inglese.

Naturalmente man mano che le cose procedono Ti aggiornerò!

A method that I have recently picked up again and that I am deepening given unexpected positive signals, or rather, signals that I had underestimated by not checking the situation often.

I am talking about Self Publishing!

In reality last night, while I was in bed, I launched into a deep reflection on what these twenty months have been, but I need time and concentration to bring it from my mind to the pages of the blog... Therefore I will take a few days.

Let's get back to us!

You should know that in the past, but also recently, I have published a series of books as an independent author on Amazon KDP.

Some are content books, others are "Low Content" and then there are those that I would define as little manuals of no more than 50 pages.

I tend to publish these last ones to try to take advantage of KDP Selection which allows subscribers to read books for free, authors earn for each page read; it goes without saying that you have to join the KDP plan and this means that subscribers rather than buying the book will read it in Kindle format... No big deal, for me as a publisher it's all just meat anyway!

Before giving you a quick overview, accompanied by images, of my publications, let's see how much I earned; below you can see one of the royalty payment pages...

I did the math and in total I earned €345.80 since I published my first book... Not bad!

Consider that I invested very little time and, for many months, it was really like receiving a passive income.

These results led me to reevaluate the situation and to include this as one of my primary methods of earning; a method that goes alongside my classic job, poker and investments (let's say that these will bring earnings in the long term).

I decided to try to publish at least a couple of books a month, of course we are talking about agendas for the most part of various types or coloring books... In any case, books with practically no content.

Obviously I will also publish something with content... I certainly cannot ignore my passion for writing and the sacred fire that burns, right?

Now let's get to my library!

This was the first book I published...

Written exclusively in English, it deals with the topic of buying and selling houses mainly for the American market; the paperback version costs $13.89 while the Kindle is sold for $2.99 ​​dollars.
This publication sold a few copies at the beginning and, in the last month, it seems to be arousing new interest as it has been purchased by more people.

Yes, I wrote this manual which explains everything you need to know to get started; the manual was published in 2023 in both Italian and English, unfortunately it did not sell any copies and has not aroused practically any interest.

Now let's move on to something that did not contain...

What you see is a pentagram notebook, I have a series of these, they are all sold for about 5 euros if they have the classic cover, those with the hard cover for 12 euros.

Below is a collage with all the covers of the pentagram notebooks I made, you can see the Italian versions but, for each one, various languages ​​are available (also because the only text to change was the one on the cover, lol!)...

A few copies of these have been sold.

Now let's move on to my recipe book...

Published only for the American market (even if it is on sale in all marketplaces it is only in English) it is sold both in paperback and hardcover, in the first case at a cost of $12 and in the second at $19.76; unfortunately I have not sold even one copy of this one, but I intend to review it by changing the cover and trying to push it a bit with Ads.

This is a little book I published as a simple experiment...

It didn't sell anything but it was read more than once by users who used their KDP subscription.
It is written in Italian and was published in 2018.

Here we have a book that simply contains temperature control cards...

I have sold zero of these, but in reality it is a decoy book.

This is the book that has made me earn the most, at least ten copies are always sold monthly.

I recently revised the cover and fixed the inside.

The ones you will see below are instead books that have content and are the ones that required a little more time and effort to see the light, eh eh!

The first one is a Bedtime Story book...

I sold quite a few copies of this one at launch (although since they are free copies I think "sold" is a big word, eh eh!); I'm currently making some money using the KDP plan since there are people reading it.

What you see instead is a book that deals with personal growth and self-development...

It required a lot of effort but it practically didn't sell anything except the free copies distributed at the launch; someone read a few pages but nothing more.

We are almost at the end, here you can see a little book of just 50 pages...

In my opinion the content is nice and can be useful; I published it without too many sales ambitions in fact it is made only in Kindle format and brought a few cents of earnings through reading the pages.

Last but not least my latest effort!

In this book we talk about poker, it is currently still in the launch phase and the Kindle version can be purchased for free; later I will try to push it with some Ads.

Well at this point I could conclude, but first I will tell you about the plans for the near future.
I definitely intend to publish two more books of fairy tales for children; as for books without content I want to put on the market some coloring books and a couple of logbooks (those are those little books that are used for checklists, for example those to take to the gym or those for the shopping list).

All these new contents will be published for both the Italian and international markets, consequently there will be both the Italian and English versions.

Of course as things progress I will update you!
