And here I am, like every Monday, ready to write the post following the suggestions of the good @mypathtofire.

Long live Ecency!

Today we're talking about favorite summer drinks, but I confess that my favorite drink remains the same regardless of the seasons.

As you may have understood from the cover image I chose and the opening quote, it's coffee!

I am a true caffeine addict!

Naturally, in the summer, I prefer it cold, or I should say, iced! It is true that I always have my first cup of coffee in an espresso cup and hot, even if it's 45 degrees outside; I'm not very conventional, but the ritual of morning coffee during breakfast is a rare exception.

Coming back to cold coffee, my favorite time to enjoy it during summer days is during afternoon tea time, around four o'clock or even a bit earlier. I drink it to relax before starting my activities; it's like a treat I give myself.

Of course, not all afternoons in summer are devoted to work, so I could enjoy my cold coffee while sitting on my lounger, soaking up the sun in the garden, or even during a dip in the hot tub.

Of course, this year, with the weather being the way it is, we're still not talking about swimming pools and bathing, haha!

Coffee can be enjoyed both alone and in the company of others, and I do both. Usually, I have my first cup of the morning alone because, often, when I leave early for work, Reny is still asleep. My wife and I have our ritual coffee after lunch and dinner together. She usually steals a bit from my cup because she never drinks a full cup... actually, we could say she just wets her lips for the taste.

When I'm in the garden, relaxing, I often sip my coffee alone while I'm deep in thought, pondering a new plan to conquer the world, mwahaha!

For my foreign friends, the above is the theme song of a famous cartoon known for this phrase, exactly as follows...
Pinky: "Gee, Brain, what do you want to do tonight?"
Brain: "The same thing we do every night, Pinky—try to take over the world!"

A nice evil laugh, muhahahahahah, would fit well at the end of that phrase!

Returning to our coffee, I can tell you that sometimes, to change things up a bit, I add a bit of cold milk or even cold chocolate milk, and it turns into a delicious drink.

As you may have gathered, I drink more than one cup of coffee during the day. The morning coffee, the ones after lunch and dinner are certain, but I can almost mathematically say that I usually have at least five cups of coffee daily without any effort, haha! However, I try not to go overboard because that's already quite a lot. When I spoke to the nutritionist, he told me that three would be the perfect number.

Naturally, I can drink coffee both black and sweetened. I would say that to truly understand if I'm dealing with a good coffee, especially espresso, I drink it black. I prefer my cold coffee sweetened, but in any case, I enjoy it in all its forms!

Oggi si parla di bevande preferite per l'estate ma, Ti confesso, la mia bevanda preferita resta sempre la stessa a prescindere dalle stagioni.

Come avrai capito anche dall'immagine che ho messo di copertina oltre che dalla frase di apertura si tratta del caffè!

Io sono un vero e proprio caffeinomane!

Naturalmente in estate preferisco berlo freddo, anzi direi ghiacciato!
E' anche vero che il primo caffè del mattino lo prendo sempre in tazza espresso e caldo anche se fuori ci sono 45 gradi; non sono abitudinario ma il rito del caffè al mattino durante la colazione rappresenta una rara eccezione.

Tornando al caffè freddo il mio momento preferito per berlo durante le giornate estive e all'ora di merenda; nel pomeriggio verso le quattro o anche un po' prima; lo bevo per rilassarmi prima di cominciare le mie attività, diciamo che è una coccola che mi regalo.

Naturalmente in estate non tutti i pomeriggi sono destinati al lavoro quindi potrei godermi il mio caffè freddo seduto sul mio lettino mentre prendo il sole in giardino o anche durante il bagnetto nella vasca idromassaggio.

Certo quest'anno, visto il tempo che sta facendo, di piscina e bagni ancora non se ne parla lol!

Il caffè può essere bevuto sia soli che in compagnia e io faccio entrambe le cose poiché, solitamente, il primo della mattina lo bevo solo visto che, spesse volte, uscendo presto per andare al lavoro, Reny ancora dorme.
Il rituale caffè dopo pranzo e dopo cena lo prendiamo insieme a mia Moglie, solitamente lei ne ruba un po' dalla mia Tazzina perché non ne beve mai uno intero... in realtà potremmo dire che si bagna appena la bocca giusto per il sapore.

Quando sono in giardino a rilassarmi, spesso, sorseggio il mio caffè da solo, mentre sono intento a riflettere e pensare un nuovo piano per conquistare il mondo, nacchio!

Per gli amici stranieri, quella sopra è la sigla di un cartone animato famoso proprio per questa frase, esattamente dice così...
Mignolo: "Cosa facciamo stasera prof?"
Prof: " Quello che facciamo tutte le sere Mignolo, tentare di conquistare il mondo!".

alla fine di questa frase ci starebbe anche bene un bel... muhahahahahah!

Tornando al nostro caffè Ti posso dire che a volte per variare un po' il tema ci aggiungo un po' di latte freddo o anche del latte al cioccolato sempre freddo e ne vien fuori una bevanda buonissima.

Come avrai capito durante la giornata io bevo ben più di un caffè, quelli sicuri sono quello del mattino e quelli dopo pranzo e dopo cena posso però affermare con certezza quasi matematica che solitamente arrivo almeno a 5 caffè giornalieri senza alcuno sforzo eh eh!
Cerco però di non andare oltre anche perché già così sono tanti, parlando con il nutrizionista mi diceva che tre sarebbe un numero perfetto.

Naturalmente il caffè lo posso bere sia amaro che zuccherato, diciamo che per capire bene se ho a che fare con un buon caffè, soprattutto se si tratta di espresso, lo bevo amaro; il caffè freddo lo preferisco zuccherato, in ogni caso mi piace in tutte le salse!

Bene, per oggi credo di poter concludere, naturalmente non senza averti ringraziato per essere arrivato fino a questo punto.
